Friday August 24, 2007 China Zhang Ziyi and Takeshi Kaneshiro will collaborate again on ‘Deng Dai’ (literally means wait or waiting) after ‘House of Flying Daggers’. The love story, based on a novel with the same title, will be directed by Peter Chan. The story happens between a doctor and a nurse who have been waiting for each other for 18 years because of their love. This is great news. Kaneshiro needs someone very attractive to be a balance. ZZ is the only actress beautiful enough. SQ from COP is beautiful too but I like Kaneshiro with ZZ.

wowness! fab! i agree that they have the perfect looks for each other. they make an indredibly cute couple. and i thought there was a lot of tension and chemistry between them in hofd. can't wait!!!

I don't think Zhang Ziyi is anywhere close to his looks or acting talents but one good thing out of this is I can see him being even more internationally known since Americans will flock to see ZZY.

I agree. Ms. Zhang is no where near TK in performance skills or looks. I also did not think those two had any chemistry in HOFD. They looked forced to me. Not like a natural couple. Gosh I wish he would pair up with someone else who can act.

Heheheheh....many women would like to be the lead woman opposite TK...especially MissCarlos. Maggie Cheung would have been and maybe still would be a good match for him. Who saids older woman can't be the love interest of a young man. Did you see Golden Bowl? Eventhought it was a comedy, they were a good match with lots of chemistry. She was an older woman and he was the young man. Anyway, hope he is able to be the lead opposite other asian women.

i love older woman / young man matches. it balances out some of the old man / young woman stuff out there, and gives me hope that even if i haven't got someone by 50, maybe some sprightly 21 year old will still fall for me lol ;D hopefully i will have somone by then lol

You will find someone by age 50. I have a friend who found someone in her 40's and she's as happy as can be becasue they are both mature adults satisfied with their lives. And you are right...older woman/younger man would balance out all the young women/older men couples out there.
MissCarlos, I'm betting you can't pull him from a computer game.....so you two might be a good fit.

There was an article back when Golden Bowl was released where Takeshi was quoted making a comment to his friends on how he thought Hitomi Kuroki was beautiful and couldn't believe she was like 12 years his senior.  |
