Here's wonderful news about Takeshi's latest movie! Thanks to educatedcat--member of la creme d'asie-- s2.invisionfree.com/la_creme_d_asie...p?showtopic=476--who dug up the news. I went to visit www.crienglish.com--and looked up the news in the entertainment section of their homepage. Copied it from the website--and pasted it on this forum. This is going to be one awesome Christmas gift, everyone!! Incidentally, the crienglish website has lots of interesting news--about everything! So--go ahead and check it out! Perhaps Love to Open Christmas Day 2005-6-8 8:31:15 CRIENGLISH.com Producer of Oscar-winning boxing movie "Million Dollar Baby," Andre Morgan and HK director Peter Chan have joined up to create the first Chinese musical in 40 years called "Perhaps Love." It is scheduled for release on Christmas Day in the United States and Asia. The musical stars Jacky Cheung, Zhou Xun, and Takeshi Kaneshiro. The shooting for the song and dance segments of the musical finished successfully in Shanghai on Monday. With an investment of 60 million Hong Kong dollars, the song and dance drama is believed to be another heavyweight after Peter Chan's 1996 hit 'Comrades, Almost a Love Story.' (ÌðÃÛÃÛ). "Perhaps Love" is a film within a story about a film. It features three men and a woman named Monti, one of whom is played by South Korean star Ji Jin-hee(³ØÕäÎõ). CRI Exclusive / Editor: Shen Min

wow. i'm so excited! I'm really looking forward to seeing this (even though it's a musical.. but a new TK movie is something of a real treat so who cares if theres some song and dance?! hehe). Does anyone have any idea when it will come out in Europe (or more specifically, the UK)? i really hope we don't have to wait too much longer - that would be sooo annoying! oh well - yey for another Christmas time TK treat!! thanks jadedragon for searching that out!

That was so cool - thanks SamIAm for finding and posting that! I especially liked the bit where TK was playing with sparklers and putting them in green glass bottles and rolling them around on the ground (not really sure what was going on there but hey!); when one of the bottles smashed into pieces against the other one, he had a little 'doh!' giggle-fit He's just too adorable sometimes!

Yes, thanks SamIAm for posting the link. TK looks so cute in his glasses. I just wanted to hug him close in what looked to be pretty cold weather. *Sigh*

Exactly SB! Do you remember those two scenes in 'Tempting Heart' where TK wraps his coat around Gigi Leung to hold her close and keep her warm? That just made me melt - i so wanted to be her just then, snuggled up against TKs chest! (^_^) TK did look like he could have done with some similar wrapping up and warming cuddling here - i wish!

i just found this - it's the official movie site for 'Perhaps Love'! www.perhapslovemovie.com/index.html On the opening page it has a link that would suggest that the site can be read in english, but it doesn't seem to do anything (the only one i can work is the one labelled 'simplify chinese' - any luck with the 'english' button, anyone else? if not, could someone enlighten me as to any interesting bits of infomation written here? thanks!).. Anyhow, it has some pretty cool photos and images etc. i'm so excited - i can't wait till this comes out! enjoy!

I have heard that the movie is going to be released in Asia and the US on Christmas day. Is that correct? Is it getting a wide US release, or will it be select cities? How great would it be to see a TK movie on opening day. I didn't know TK when I went to see HOFD, I just thought it looked like a beautiful movie. Little did I know that I would be knocked off my feet by such a fantastic actor. He's proven before ( Fallen Angels) that his facial expressions alone can speak volumes. That smile of his.... it kills me!!

I've been looking for more info on the story... finally (after a long search) i found this... **** This film features one of China's top actresses Zhou Xun, whose performance in Suzhou River won her international acclaim. In this film she stars as Sun Na, a bar singer, who will stop at nothing to reach success. She even dumped her impoverish Beijing Film Academy student boyfriend Lin Jian Dong (Takashi Kaneshiro) to hook up with famed director Nie Wen (Jacky Cheung), and finally fulfils her dream to become a huge star. Ten years later, on the set of Ziu's latest musical film, she meets Lin who has finally become an actor. However Sun's erratic behaviour towards Lim throws him completely into disarray. Ji Jin Hee's plays the muse Monty, who travels between the triangle relationship in the film, the outsider who looks at the complex and messy loving human relationships from the outside, signifying his role as the angel of the film. Perhaps Love is undoubtedly the largest Chinese musical ever depicted on film, with a planned release date around Christmas for Hong Kong, China and many Asian cities. *** www.haf.eexpohk.com/html/dm/venice/HAF_02.htm
