I guess people generally have a misconception that So Cal (southern California) is warm all year 'round... well not really "all year". There're months that are really hot but winter can be quite cold too (maybe below 10C... that's cold to southern Californian) and I guess people don't know that we get rain here in the winter!! In recent years, we get a lot of rainstorms from Oct - Jan... so it's wet and cold sometimes. It's weird though now that I think about it... this year we've only had one storm in So Cal so far. It was back in September and we even got hail... Hey that's really interesting that you mentioned about moving to Asia... I wouldn't say I know a lot of Swedes but I do know a bunch and all of them are interested in really migrating to Asia like Japan, Hong Kong and stuff. Why? Does it have something to do with the weather? Is it a "trendy" thing? Another interesting thing I noticed about Swedes (ok.. at least from the ones I get to know) is that they don't seem to be very passionate about Sweden I mean I know people from other countries that obviously love where they're from.. namely, Aussie Swedes are soo quiet too... the guys! They tend to be passive and they need a longer time to warm up with you. What do you think, speaking from a local's perspective? Oh yeah Denmark... I'm going there too for a short excursion. I'm going out of town for Thanksgiving holiday so I'll see y'all after the weekend... HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

They tend to be passive and they need a longer time to warm up with you. What do you think, speaking from a local's perspective? Some summers we're happy if the temperature rises over 10C... The recent years that haven't been a problem though. So I have to be stubborn and say that So Cal is warm at winter. But it isn't the cold that is the problem here. It's that we almost have no sun. Okey, I shouldn't complain. In Svalbard they have no sun at all between November and January (and between may and July they have a three month long day!!!). That's ruff (or lovely). I only know one more Swede that wants to migrate to Asia. He wants to go to Singapore. But I know it's popular to go to Thailand and buy expensive houses. Thailand is the Florida of Scandinavia. ;D It used to be Spain. But a lot of people are learning Asian languages at the same time school children don't want to study French, German and Spanish anymore. English, Chinese and Japanese are the only holding strong at the universities. Probably the weather is a part of it, but we can get that in Spain and Greece. The difference is maybe that Asian culture, religion, architecture and food are greater than the European one. As I earlier wrote Asia is the future. Recent media have reported more from Asia than from the US. Japanese cartoons, in both magazines and movies (manga and anime), are growing above Disney. It's a huge Asian boom right now. I know around my mum's apartment she have three Chinese restaurants and two Thai restaurants - but only ONE pizza and ONE kebab/falafel. You have absolutely right about that we aren't passionated about our country. I've even problems writing our country. During the WW2 Sweden was "neutral". Really we helped Germany a lot and we even had small camps where handicapped were executed. This have taken hard in the people soul. So if you meet someone that says s/he is proud of Sweden you should watch up. That's probably a Nazi supporter or at least a supporter of Swedish Democrats (that is the "friendlier" Nazi Party). And I really see no reason to say I'm proud of my country. Why would I? What good have it done? Can a country do good? Sometimes I find it creepy to watch American movies because they're full of patriotism sometimes. That feels scary. Well, all Swedes - females and males - are quiet and drawn back. I've heard we're the Japanese of Europe. Japanese are also drawn back as us. Scientists have even found that we like to stand at the same distance from each other. Therefore are many Swedes and Japanese very comfortable with each other. I've read an article where they asked some abroad students about Swedes and they thought that all were friendly but quiet. One South American girl had said hello to here room mates in the hall by French kissing them. They all looked like her like she was crazy, she said. And they all (those who were interviewed) said that Swedes were calm accept when they went out to party. Swedes drink a lot! To much...

Ok I don't like these 5 Words descriptions, Iam bla bla .... So Iam gonna write a few more words. Iam from Germany,I live temporarely in the US ( D.C)...and guess I can consider myself as a stalker. Ok that sounds a little bit...ahhem weird, let's just say Iam watching this forum for a long time (almost a year ) and I confess I stare at my Wallpaper way too long. The Reason?! Over year ago I was so blown away by Beauty that that my heart sank into the right pocket of my Jeans..anyways, after that experience I just couldn't stop thinking how Evolution brings out such Perfection. I was interested in asian cinema before (thank you max) but Mr. Kaneshiro made me crazy about it. I think anyone in this forum can understand that. Besides the Fact that I adore his Charisma,Versatility and out of the World Beauty, I have a life besides staring at his pictures. I speak English, German, a little Russian ( where are the 12 y of russian) and I started with learning Chinese ( Mandarin) . This year Iam gonna enroll in University in germany...and Surprise surprise my Majors are gonna be Chinese and Japanese...yeeeyy Iam crazy I hope you're not too disturbed with my comment!!!!!!!!!!....
