Tae Guk Gi aka Brotherhood of War Has anyone here seen this movie? Of all the movies I've collected and watched in my life, this one really made me cry like a little girl. I cried to the point that I am ashamed. It's a story about brotherly love and how they try to survive together during the Korean war. There is A LOT of action (gory war stuff) for the guys and a very touching storyline for the girls. You can check on imdb.com/title/tt0386064/ and see all the positive reviews people gave this movie. P.S. If your read the reviews from imdb.com then you will see that many others cried too. I am not the only one that cried like a baby. Don't laugh at me. You'll hurt my feelings. Heheh j/k I give this movie an 11 out of 10.

This is my bootleg version . I watch this a lot. This is my authentic boxset version. Its still in the wrapper and unopened. I don't need to open it since I can just watch my bootleg (shame on me ) version. Here is a stock photo of what should be inside. For those who don't like reading subtitles (but you must if you watch Takeshi movies) you can get the American version which is dubbed in English I think

Hi Samanosuke- I liked your review- so I just ordered Tae Guk Gi from Blockbuster's on-line and am anxious to see it. I'll catch up with you once I see it. I cry pretty easily ,especially with emotional movies so I'll be right up there with you. I believe I'll be in good company...

Hi Samanosuke, Watched "Tae Guk Gi " last night - great recommendation. I agree, there's ALOT of war gore, but the storyline of these two brothers keep you interested. I cried uncontrollably, esp when he's at the grave site talking to his brother- that was just too heart- wrenching to be dry-eyed... Did you watch the special features? I liked the commentary of the historians and how this movie tried to be accurate to some of the actual war stories and happenings.Sounds like the writers tried to capture the feelings/essence of the Korean War. Take Care.
