Takeshi Rejects Maggie Q

I feel TK's limited response to all these questions concerning women and relationships is an attempt to stay open for his fanbase. He does not want to alienate anyone by disclosing too much of his personal preferences, as they can be perceived negatively (as noted by a fan here). In addition, since he has such a strong international fanbase, he probably does not want any mishaps due to personal events in his life (as the case of Jackie Chan when he disclosed his marriage and fans were jumping off buildings. Since then, very little of JC's married life is exposed to the public. His son is now in his 20s and he had a baby girl a couple of years back.)

For all we know, the ideal lady TK described could already be his wife.

Also, do we even know if he's straight? Perhaps he prefers men. That would be a "fan-killer". Although I for one will continue to be a devoted fan.

Wow really? Where have you been (not an insult to you, just a shocked question). Her sexual image and scandals with 'hot' guys are mainly what has been maintaining her popularity in the ET industry. If she was rated accordingly to real merit or talent, she would have been booted off a long time ago. Sure, she's been very lucky to get into Hollywood and that's really the only reason why Asia is entirely embracing her now -it's kind of like 'wow, a fellow Hker (sort of) is now making it big in the West so she MUST be great now. If it wasn't for her Hollywood exposure, she would NOT have returned to HK with the roles she gets now (apparently some 3 Kingdoms film that I saw in Chinese newspaper).

Oh and offtopic, but related to Maggie, I just watched Mission Impossible 3, I'm still indifferent towards her. Sure, her character was extremely cool but I think people went out to support the fact that Maggie, an Asian (half anyway), was casted into a Hollywood film, not so much in appreciation of her acting abilities because, honestly, I would love to watch a Maggie film without her taking off her shirt or pants (or anything 'sexy'). I believe real actresses don't have to take their clothes off or interact in a love scene just to cater to lustful men who would pay just to watch a rated R film with a horribly poor storyline. I don't want the Western hemisphere to misunderstand Asian women as sex symbols because that's obviously not the case.

So overall, it's up to Takeshi who he wants to date, but if he doesn't have a thing for girls like Maggie then good for him. I have more respect for him now.

No no, to my knowledge, Takeshi will film in The Battle of Red Cliff so if it was any girl to 'attack' him (lol) it would be Chiling or Zhao Wei.

Maggie Q is starring with Andy Lau in The Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon so don't worry girlie lol.
But now that she's famous in Hollywood, she might have a chance filming with him some time

Anyway, he did say in the article above that it's not a problem for him to be in the same movie as any actors because he just "does his job then goes home".

p.s. I don't see how a half Caucasian (and not even partially Chinese) person can act in a Chinese epic film?
Imagine playing a legendary Chinese beauty or something like that

I'd like him to date someone with a personality like Maggie Cheung's. Not her specifically, but just soemone with her personality. She's so smart and like him, she's not so hungry for media attention. SHe's rejected so many Hollywood roles (Memoris of Geisha was one) because she doesn't think they're offering Asians any roles she has seen to be meaningful.

InAsian movie industry, it's rare to find any actress share the same value as Maggie Cheung, many love to go "Hollywood" and never care what role they receive (i.e Zhang Zi Yi, Shu Qi, Maggie Q...). There are only couple actress reportedly reject Hollywood offers are Zhou Xun and Zhao Wei. Unfortunately the former is attached, while the later want to concentrate on her career and working toward a Master in Fine Art Degree as a Director. TK is very low profile, and would macth these two lovely ladies very well in real life and on-screen. Personality wise, ZhaoWei is very out-going, straight-fowrd/frank and very independent, defineetly doesn't fit in the entertainment industry, yet she is part of the industry because of her passion for acting and music.

By the way, Maggie Cheung has divorced already and is single...
I really love her -very respectable person and extremely talented. Most of the other Asians in Hollywood aren't half as talented as her (Gong Li is an exception) -they got lucky and hit it big time but not much to say about their acting...
