Hi blean,
Answering your question (Post 20 above), I believe this movie will definitely be released in the US. Only thing is, it is a matter of when ? End of this year ? Or early next year? And will the name remain the same or changed to suit the market ?
Hope your wish will come early for you., i.e. end of the year.

Hi lovetk
Post 22 - I am of the same opinion too. We have our own reason/s for idolising and liking a person. It so happens that, the person that we idolise in this case is, Takeshi Kaneshiro, the filmstar. We are all in the same boat here, we members of this club. It is great isn't it?

All the pic are collected from Chinese Newspapers. The link I be pasted on the post too! Though may translate to english for everybody but take time!!
I think just have the pic is enough, anyway who care what they actually reporting...same pic, same suitation but come out will be opposive.... Honest..HK reporters not really like Takeshi..regarding his news actually not always possitive.

Yes, I have read abt it too, sometime ago on the Net. Can't quite remember the name of the source, but it was an entertainment news media.
It was just a brief mention about his observation - that the people in the HK film industry, including the populace in general, tend to be rather territorial abt their film industry. And therefore, tend to be rather "cold" and unfriendly towards outsiders. I am not surprised if the reception of Takeshi-san is rather lukewarm.

I believe that there is a quiet competition between Takeshin-san and Lee Hom. Not that the artistes themselves are not actively involved, but their supporters and the public are starting to compare the two , in their artistic activities as well as private lives.

My apologies.

It's good to hear for us fans of course that he's being more open and giving more interviews. What happened in his career/life to do so? I'm curious to know what was the catalyst. Or am I the only one thinking this way.... Lol, kewpie-chan, what are you trying to imply? That our Takeshi probably found a girlfriend to make him happier? We'll probably have to ask Jean about that! ;D

You mean me?? Why me? Havent a clue!!. LOL ;D If anything, I think suddenly he realised he needs to acheive more before his time and just happened good script came by. If you are talking about those maggie Q interviews, I doubted their authenticity anyway b/c 2 interviews with TK within a short space of time thats very rare. And maybe if I bump into him in HK I'll ask him for you.

Huh, that's pretty interesting lovetk about how HK's reception of Takeshi-san may be lukewarm.

And maybe if I bump into him in HK I'll ask him for you. Jean we know you're a wealth of information! ;D LOLOL.... Sreyda, yes you hit it on the nose. That's exactly what I was thinking ;D Now Jean, I'm not denying that the script's good (Takeshi-san's instinct on choosing interesting scripts are so far so good) and therefore he's acting in it. But I was thinking maybe it's a one-two-three combo punch where he's a bit more "publicly accessible". The first being taking a gamble in starring in "Perhaps Love". Let's admit it folks, doing a movie is hard enough but to also sing and sing good? Now that takes talent! The second, there are a lot of great scripts, great directors and he's a great actor. 1 + 1 = success. But this formula won't happen if you don't put yourself out there. (hence my agreement with Jean's comment.) And third (and this is kewpie-chan's speculation, nothing more as she gets a head start to run away from angry TK mob) maybe....just maybe there's some serious "crushing" going on in his life now.
