My Grandmother (YES, my gramma!) used to adore Barry Gibb (the big hair and bearded one) from the BeeGees, and whenever he was on TV, she would say that he "Flapped her Fallopian's". As a kid I always thought it was creepy, but now... I completely relate! And the Biotherm pics...well you know what I say: "Sweet Smokin' Jesus!"

Yes, I really did say that out loud...and when I was at work too! OMG, we never laughed so hard and so long So now whenever I my co-workers see a new wallpaper on my computer screen they tease me, "So, does this one make it hit the high note?" ;D

I agree with you, Helena, that HOFD was an introduction to most in the US, but anyone who has watched Takeshi in HOFD will without a doubt say their initial reaction was "whoa! who IS that guy?" He's totally: (fill in your own word here)
HOT! GORGEOUS! ASTONISHING! GRACEFUL! BEAUTIFUL!
He definately leaves a lasting impression...so then you Google him... Oh, man...its all downhill from there! You're hooked!

HOFD got the most Hollywood PR so that's why so many know him through that. However, most Blockbuster chains do carry his other awesome movie, "Returner" so I highly recommend you check that out. Cinxxx, I know you'll drool over it Just keep a lid on your XXX postings here okay? We'd like to try and keep in clean for the "kiddies" LOLOL....

as the matter of fact my first film I have seen with him and fell in love with - was THE RETURNER, which is not mentioned in the poll so I had to pick up the House of the Flying Daggers 'cause it wasa the real one I fell in love with

Sorry if I get carried away...I watch for that . Actually I have about 11 of Takeshi's movies, Returner being the second one I saw after HoFD. And YES! I did drool. (just a little)
Sleepless Town is my current favorite, but it changes weekly.

Unfortunately I live in the country where almost none of his films are shown in theatres or sold on DVD - so I am only a beginner fan of him. But I have heard his music tho.
