Cool! Hey, so when you get to the episode (think it's #8) where Yuuri and Rieru are hiding out in the hotel room, can you give me the translation of Yuuri explaning to Rieru about counting feathers to go to sleep? I've tried to listen to it many times but TK's voice is so low (and tape quality wasn't good) that I couldn't catch it all

Hi, Kewpie-chan! I love this drama. Do you understand Japanese? FirstI 'll write down what Yuri said about feathers in Japanese, then try to translate it in English, OK? I hope you!ll catch the meaning in spite of my poor English translation.. Honto dayo. You had better go to bed. When you cannot get asleep, count feathers. Lie on your back with eyes closed, count feathers falling from the sky, "One, two, ..." You'll be all coverd with white feathers soon, that will lead you to comfortable sleep. It's true. Takesh's voice is soooo low, warm and comfortable!

Yes I do understand Japanese but the tape I had rented was poor quality & since Takeshi-san's voice is naturally low had a hard time hearing what he was saying. Thanks for writing it in Japanese! Now I understand what he was saying. *sigh* Of course, I had to buy the series so now that I have it in DVD, can hear it MUCH better

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGHHH! buying that dvd was a waste of my time. not that it wasn't any good, but the subtitles were terrible. no not terrible...horrendous! the man says Konbanwa, meaning good evening... and the subtitle screen says "GOODNIGHT"... ??!!!! *ANGRY FACE*! that's not even the half of it. it hurt my head trying to mentally translate the words...ehm...the RIGHT way! nevertheless, the drama was okay. but i'd have to say my least favourite out of his 3 dramas. i really liked the last 3 episodes the most, the part where she opened 'the box' (my heart was racing pretty quick lol), the time when he found out 'the news' in the parking garage...oh, and any other time where takeshi had his specs, his hair slicked back, or when he wore a tux. o...m...g. loved it! i was a bit sad and happy with the ending though... the fact that rieru had *tJe censores her words so she doesn't give it away* WASN'T THAT GREAT?! but then... crap! the credits started to roll. BOO

Where did you buy your DVD's? The set I got is directly from Japan so no subtitles. The drama was something to be desired in the sense that it dragged in the middle. The beginning and ending were great though. That said, I still recommend adding this to yoru TK collection because he just looks sooooooooooo good in this series! I swear, was there ANY scene in this series where the camera wasn't "loving" Takeshi-san?? And O...M...G....I literally could not breathe for awhile there seeing him dressed up in a suit/tux, hair slicked back and glasses. Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! *kewpie-chan faints* I thought he looked (physically) the best in this series...he's not too skinny or pale looking. Such yummy eye candy in this! And yeah, I had tears streaming down my face when Rieru had to break the news to him in that parking garage about his family. Also his last meeting with his dad. Oh but that last episode...especially the last what, 20 minutes of it? Man what a tear jerker! I especially love how the camera caught the many subtle facial expression of torment his character was going through before, during and after the shooting scene. I just thought to myself as I started to tear up he's really a good actor! I was sobbing so hard when he lay down next to her and "said" her name, she looks at him and they both pass out. The last scene was so bittersweet though. Very well done. *sigh* Now I'll have to watch it later tonight LOL....

Sorry... nope. The show is for anyone who can read Chinese or understand Japanese.... lol No I mean no one would sub this series nowadays... it's not available anywhere and anyone who would want to sub it must be OUT OF HIS/HER FREAKIN' MIND!!! AHHH WEBMISTRESS! don't say that You're wrong on that one though! this series WILL be re-subbed by me and SARS-fansubs. (I'm a subtitle timer ) I promise I'm not crazy, webmistress!!! Like I said, the dvd version subtitles were VERY poorly done. 90% of it had terrible English grammar, which leads me to question, who the hell did that?!!??! anyway, Love 2000's subtitles have already been translated by someone from the SARS group. it's my job to time the script appropriately to the sound file, then someone edits, does a runthrough to make sure there aren't any errors, then it gets released on the SARS site and D-addicts.com. the project won't be completely finished for, i'm guessing...about a month AT MOST. BUT they will be released one episode at a time, so I'll let you guys know when I'm finished subbing an episode. (don't ask me for the translated script )i'll post it on here when it's finished! (btw, you'd have to dl the episode from the site as well so its coherent) ahhh! really the drama wasn't so bad! i guess it's based on opinion. the whole plot consists basically of suicidal terrorists being forced by hypocritical superiors for the 'greater good'. it makes perfect sense to me, but the story is a bit old and done. kind of reminds me of Alias (except not as detailed)... or the attack on 9/11! hehe most people who saw the drama liked it... how could u not like it? even if u didn't like it, JUST LOOK AT TK. u'll forget the plot soon enough haha oh btw kewpie, i got it from ebay!

wowwowowowowow! kewpie!!! i didn't know you were so fluent ^0^! do me a fav and translate that smapxsmap ep. of tk for me will ya!! hehe puhleeease! *dances* i have a good point about the last episode. something about it just drove me nuts. *********spoiler alert ********** You know that scene where that crazy biatch holds the bomb timer next to rieru's heart? WHY DIDN'T TK SHOOT HER?! she was in perfect range...and in perfect reason to be shot dead, i say!! it would have saved so much heartbreak if he'd just shot her in the face to make her drop the timer, and motion rieru to put the timer on the floor at a safe distance...SO HE COULD SHOOT THE TIMER! he didn't HAVE to shoot at her heart. doesn't that make more sense?? HELLOOOO ! it made me so mad! you don't even wanna know how much i was yelling "SHOOT THE BIATCH" at the tv screen! *starts throwing things*

Is it the one where Takeshi-san guest starred and player pool? Post the link up in here to show me which one. LOLOL!!! You were yelling at your TV set too? So was I! Although I was cursing up a storm more at the last evil thing she was doing to come between Rieru and Yuuri. Man what a biatch! Well it didn't seem like he could get a clear shot at the evil bitch's head cuz she was hiding behind Rieru. And even if she did drop it on the ground rather than it falling back in the water with her, Rieru would still have to hold it up for Yuuri to get a clear shot of the timer box to hit it dead center to disable it. BUT this is logical so you know they can't have that in a drama! Wouldn't be a drama without a cliffhanger making people yell (or toss) things at the TV screen. LOLOL!

BTW, can ocilef2000 or anyone understand the conversation between the police inspector Saeki and lady doctor Yuko? I can only get maybe 75% of the conversation...the inspector fellow talks a bit too fast for me to catch some words. **spoiler alert!*** It's the scene where he asks Yuko where's Rieru after he's told she gave birth to the baby on X-mas night and Yuko tells him Rieru died. Now it sounds like she's telling him Rieru survived only long enough to give birth to Yuuri's child and then died "to be with him" but I'm not sure Can anyone help?

Kewpie-chan, the last scenes are so heartbreaking that when I saw them on TV in 2000, I couldn't even cry......only sat in a daze. >Now it sounds like she's telling him Rieru survived only long enough to give birth to Yuuri's child and then died "to be with him" Yes, you're right. Rieru lived alone (without Yuuri) so long! Now, this is the conversation of the Doctor & Mr. Saeki. Doctor Nani ka goyou desuka?
Saeki Kyuuka de hisashiburini Tokyo ni modottekita monodesukara. Are irai, Mashiro-san tomo atteinakute.
Doc. Soudesuka.

Ocilef2000 domo arigatto! Mou, yonda ato sugoku kanashikatta yo! wahhhhh Tje, yeah I'll translate what Ocilef2000 wrote for ya. But first, about the SMAP video where they play pool. Although in the pool one, they were mainly talking about the various people's pool skills. And of course in awe of how good Takeshi-san was. The funniest part was where the announcer (?) was explaining the rules of the game and how the loser has to do these stupid/silly things. So they were all laughing at that one guy who was losing bad and teasing him how he has to do a kick-ass impersonation of "Returner" scene I'll take a gander at the ep again and let you know what they say. **spoiler alert!** You didn't know he (Yuuri) died due to a serious translation error? Man I'd be pissed! Yeah at the entrance to the hospital one of the inspector said Yuuri Maloef would be shipped back to his homeland. Since the word "shipped back" was used rather than "sent back", you know that he's dead. OK! Now to translate the convo between the doc and inspector at the last scene: Dr: Is there something I can do for you? Saeki: I'm on my vacation and it's been awhile since I've returned to Tokyo. Since that incident, I haven't seen Mashiro-san. Dr: Is that so. Saeki: In any case, is the child well? (implying was the baby born okay) Dr: Yes, on Christmas night. Saeki: Is that so, that's good.....Then is Mashiro-san already home? Dr: Rieru is....Rieru has died. To be more accurate, it's a miracle she made it through delivery. The feeling of no matter what, I want to deliver the baby was what kept her going. Saeki: She was determined giving birth to Yuuri Maloef's child wasn't she. Dr: I think the power of life is truly amazing. The baby is an extremely healthy and adorable boy. Maria-chan said she'll raise the child. Saeki: If it's her then it'll be fine. Dr: Excuse me but where did you come from? Saeki: From New York. Since fall I've been working for the consulate. Dr: Is that so. Must be tough. Saeki: No....It's almost the 21st century isn't it. Dr: Yes, there doesn't seem to be much time. Saeki: Happy 21st century. Dr: Happy 21st century.
