I really liked TK's performance in this movie. Although, I gotta be honest, I wasn't very engaged by the parts with just Kelly Chen and Michael Wong. I know, I know, I may be biased since TK wasn't included. Still, I've seen the movie more than once. ;D
When I first saw the movie, I didn't realize Michael Wong was Russell Wong's brother. I found that out on IMDB.com.

So, did you see this yet, MissCarlos? If you haven't--I highly recommend it--Takeshi is simply adorable in this one--makes you want to reach in just give him a huge kiss and tight hug!! The only thing I find sort of strange was that the actor who plays the Half Scottish/half Chinese guy that Kelly was looking for(I think his name is Michael Wong)--doesn't even have the remotest Scottish accent whatsoever, or tried to simulate one--him supposedly being from Scotland, and all. He had more or less an American accent which totally throws off the notion that the guy is Scottish. It was never mentioned that he was raised in the US or anything like that--and since he has a lot of scenes in this film--I really found it the detremental factor to rating this film 4 stars instead of 5. Kelly's acting, again--was just so-so. It was TK, again--in my opinion who kept the story going smoothly in this film--and not because he exudes wit, charm, drop-dead gorgeous looks, and amazing acting talent either! Hee! Hee!

I can't believe he's Russell Wong's brother? I think Russell is way better looking that Michael, though. Especially in his earlier films-

Jadedragon, it does seem were writing post one right after the other. I was really confused by the whole, part Scottish, part Chinese, but American accent with nothing to let you know he ever spent time in America. I know the Scottish accent can be tough to nail for some, so if he tried to do the accent but couldn't, they may have just said forget about it! I had bit of a crush on Russell Wong in the late '80s when he had a television show in syndication that lasted a hot minute. I can't even remember any of the plot, but I do remember that he had a brother on the show. I couldn't keep the crush going though because once the show went off the air, I didn't see him again for a very long time. I love how TK's character had such a huge heart! I constantly found myself saying, "Awwwww!"

For the past week, I was concerned about Hiroyuki (that's my pen pal's name). He hadn't e-mailed me in over a week, with the train wrecks in Japan and everything.. He doesn't use the trains to commute from home to work and vice versa, so I danced on my computer desk when he e-mailed me yesterday!! That's how I know he saw "Lost and Found". I AM SO JEALOUS!!

As I've said previously, getting Asian films that were never shown here in North America are HARD for me to get. I was lucky enough to find and buy "Returner" for $15.

I just finished watching "Lost and Found" and think this is one of my favorite TK movies, second only to HOFD. ( You know I say this, but I haven't watched all of the TK movies yet,so things can change.)This film actually has an interesting storyline, moving music ( I liked several of the songs ), and of course, TK is in it!!! Kelly Chen is not as bad as she was in Lavender, but she still is emotionless in this movie. This film could be so much more if only she had an inkling of chemistry with either of her male-leads! ( I believe SamIam and the Webmaster used the word 'wooden" to describe her...perfect!) And the movie brings you to Scotland which takes the film to a whole other level. " The End of the World" is gorgeous and raw: it makes you want to go there NOW. I've never seen such lush majestic beauty! And then there's TK( I saved the best for last). The more I see of him,the more I like him. He always exudes warmth and big-heartedness. TK tells Lam that he can find anything and asks her to name something she has lost. Lam (Kelly Chen) challenges TK to find her hope and by the end of the movie he manages to find it for her and more... I like the quote at the end "...that every bit and piece of life can be magic ...and everyone can be a magician...." It just shows you that people can really effect and change your life.

hey everyone!
congratulations Tatiana and Windysgirl on your new 3 dancing monsters! i'm v envious - i've been away for a little while so i still have quite a ways to go 'till i get my monsters!
I got this film in the post yesterday and watched it straight away ( sad, i know!). I really liked it - great soundtrack and sweet scenes intercut with some nicely arty black and white footage now and again. And it was such a treat to see TK in my part of the world! It was quite odd seeing him in such familiar settings though! I agree with alls of you that picked up on Teds 'Scottish' accent.. i mean.. what??! It wasn't remotely Scottish, or from any part of the British Isles for that matter [ if i had been in any doubt at all his pronouciation of 'Greenwich' halfway through would have set me straight - he said it phonetically ('Green-witch') whereas we would say it more 'Gren-itch'] but it was enjoyable none the less and lent the film some (unintentional, no doubt!) chuckles along the way! I don't think it really hampered my enjoyment of the film. i loved the scene in which TK and Kelly Chan are dancing manically around in the little sound studio place, and doing a duet together - very cool. It reminded me of that EXCELLENT vintage tv TK performance of 'Let's Fall In Love' in the Media section on the main website.. hehe. Love it! All in all, despite the occasional plot hole i really enjoyed this - and it's worth seeing just for the fact that it's partly filmed in Scotland - i mean how unusual is that for Asian cinema? TK is particularly adorable in this one - sooo sweet, and seeing him play with the two little girls who stayed outside of the 'Lost and Found' offices and holding the lil' baby at the end made me melt!
If you haven't already, watch it if you get a chance!
EA xx

Hi ElfinAniki!! I 've missed you!! Glad you're back and posting. I really liked this movie too and loved Scotland so much in this film that now I really want to go there. The whole Ted /accent thing I tried to ignore, but it was really bad. But the movie still has many merits. See ya around El, and thanks for the congrats!

They just released a region 1 version of Lost and Found on June 21, 2005. Since I don't have this movie yet I am going to see if any of the stores around where I live have it.
