Dilbar will you be able to find pics on this one?! I guess I've seen a little bit of this series online ages ago. It's very old (from 1996 or so) and very rare nowadays.. might not be able to obtain it even on the net. Takeshi was so young and his character was Chinese in Japan. I remember he spoke a lot of Mandarin in it. Rumors said that Rie Miyazaki (his co-star, ex-superstar in the 80's) had a huge crush on Takeshi but she got rejected poor Rie she was already a stick and rumors said that she lost even more weight because of Takeshi... lol.

Regarding this movie--'Christmas Miracle' or, also known as 'Miracle On Holy Night'--I think it's part of a Christmas anthology--if I'm not mistaken--aired over Japanese tv several years ago--around 1995 or 1996. So--it was a short one--around 40 minutes. Very cute, endearing Takeshi--as usual. Nice, sweet story about a Chinese boy finding his fortune in Japan and a girl he fell in love with who works in a hair salon. They were both with very limited funds--but TK's character-Mr. Bell--wanting to make a big impression on the young lady--decided to treat her to an expensive restaurant when he has hardly any money. That didn't work out well because he was so embarassed about not being able to tip the strolling singer going from table to table. He was even ashamed of the very ordinary and plain gloves that he was to present to the girl over dinner--and, decided not give it. He didn't realize that the girl liked him for himself, and not who he was trying to be. But, as with all Christmas stories--everything magically worked out well in the end. I've made a collage of some screencaps from the movie. Enjoy!
