i saw it the other night. it's a fun heist movie - a bunch of high tech industrial thieves steal things. lots of explosions, lots of toys, lots of plot holes. amusing eye candy if you like that sort of thing, which i do. and netflix has it, which is nice.

Thanks deedee. I'll check it out. Netflix also has Returner, Odd one dies, Sleepless Town. Hi, Alisa. If you haven't seen all three movies that you mentioned--you should. They're perfect examples of Takeshi's easy assimilation into any role that's given him. The Odd One Dies and Sleepless Town belong to my list of favorite Takeshi films!

The Odd One Dies and Sleepless Town belong to my list of favorite Takeshi films! Hi, Jadedragon. I've seen all 3 of them and Sleepless Town is my FAV. The Odd One Dies is very funny too but I just like kind of dark and heavy movie. It's really show that he's not just has pretty face but he's a real actor. I know people kind of compare him with Johnny Depp a lot but I think he's more like Ben Del Toro (who got Oscar from Traffic and has been called Spanish's Brad Pitt) as far as not doing too many movies each year and very picky about the role. And each movie they've made just take them to the next level of acting.

Does anyone have this movie without the embedded subtitles in it? My copy of Downtown Torpedoes is the Mei Ah(distributing company) version. I looked online for other versions of the movie but couldn't find any.
I'm a dvd freak and I collect them. I can't stand embedded subtitles or fullscreen. I saw a copy of The Odd One Dies and wanted to get it so bad but it was in fullscreen. Bleh!
Someday when I have all of Takeshi's movies and dramas (if they ever sell dvd versions of them with english subs) then I will make a special place for them on my display shelf. I'll make a Takeshi movie shrine.

I rented this movie and was surprised how entertaining and action-packed it was. (TK of course looks great in this movie.) Hey, what do you think--Trying to find and watch all the TK movies/ dramas is a bit of a scavenger hunt.. (and I can tell you I haven't completed half of the list.) But the hunt is kinda fun, because when a TK movie comes in the mail, You get all excited...

This scavenger hunt is driving me nuts because not every movie and drama of Takeshi is easy to come by.
