Hello Tatiana... it is one of the best (if not the best)... im not really into (love) stories with older female/younger male pair but this is an exception... Hitomi's gorgeous :-)... my favourite episodes are 4th, 8th and 11th...

Hello, Is the fourth episode where he gets sick and Hitomi takes care of him? That is my absolute favorite scene. He just acts so natural in that scene and then kisses her. Here he is sick and other people are not considering his feelings but then she comes along and helps him.

Hi Mercedes... yup that's the fourth episode.. and that 12 seconds kiss can equal any love scenes he's done in other films... LOL... that was unforgettably sweet..

Turn Left, Turn Right is my favorite TK movie.
I am a sinner. I have Fallen Angels, Chungking Express, Sleepless Town and Downtown Torpedoes and haven't even watched them yet.

Oooh. THis should be fun. BEWARE: possible spoilers for those of you who have not seen these flicks...... China Dragon: this is so B-rated but funnier than hell. The fast filming and camera angles really add to that. Cool how it was filmed in Hawaii. I can't remember laughing so much. TK is great as the shy guy who helps save the day. Burger Cop: B-rated and way low budget. Also funnier than hell. I like TK's first scene the best when he flies through the window and mediates between the two guys having an argument. There's a lot of slapping....and it's funny! Chunking Express: My third TK flick. I love his vulnurable character and his quirks. I like the double story concept and just the whole culture and arts-i-ness of the film. Fallen Angels: Tk's character is great! I just love how goofy he is and how he forces people to let him do things like wash their hair....the best scene though is when he realizes he's fallen in love with that crazy chick and they are sitting in a restaraunt and the fiming is slow-mo and looks like they are in water.....he's just savoring this chick, sniffing her and just enjoying her essence and she is so lost in her daydream she does not know what he is doing......I love the sensuality of this scene..... Lost and Found: There were a lot of messages in this film and I thought it to be a little boring at first but when it got going again later I enjoyed. I cried at the end. Odd one Dies: I really liked watching him as a dirty gutsy little thug. Sleepless Town: I absolutely loved the storyline! He plays the quiet dangerous character really well. He shows heart in this one, too. Space Travelers: Not as funny as I had read it was but still a good flick. I like the concept. I especially admired his hair in this one....how superficial of me, I know.....but i'm big on hair.... Returner: This was the second TK movie i saw. Though it looks low-budget and Ann bugs me sometimes I really enjoyed it. He's very sexy with guns and the leather and some of the kung-fu is awesome.... I also liked the bad guy, he really cracked me up! Turn Left/Turn Right: A soft mushy film that I really enjoyed. The two other characters who try to get involved with TK and GiGi totally crack me up. THere are a lot of personal truths in this film. I especially like the scenes at the end when TK and GiGi are looking for each other ......the emotional aspect is so deep. The concept of how love and fate play in our lives rings so true for me..... HOFD: My first TK film. I love the plot, the culture and the costumes. I also enjoyed the fighting, especially at the end. I think the whole cast is excellent. Also my first Andy Lau film so of course, i'm seeing more of him now. I don't care so much for Ziyi, something about her rubs me the wrong way even though she did well in this film. She's like a spoiled little prima donna and that really shows about her even though she's in character. As far as TK goes, I totally loved him as Cpt. Jin and Wind: a total flirt, he is fun and in the end his heart rules him....also his interview in the 'behind the scenes' is so ......hm.....he's so intellectual, grounded, pretty and sensitive...He's truly multi-faceted. Golden Bowl: Highly Addictive. Highly. Excellent. I love every bit of it even if it's cheesy sometimes. TK does so many things in this series and still comes off as a regular joe..... He so has a sense of humor too like when he's wearing the pink shirt and has his face painted.....I love it! Well, i'm outta breath now....but I love sharing this with others and reading what others have to say. I feel like with each film TK shows us a different side of him. I really like that about an actor. I have Downtown Torpedoes coming from Netflix today and will watch. I'm bummed though that I cannot obtain a copy of Dr. Wai and Too Tired to Die........

so far, these are the tk movies i've seen and how i rate them:
hofd-my first tk movie. got hooked right away. i love the storyline. mysterious. i like the twist of the betrayal of the characters. also like the fighting scenes. and most of all i like tk's flirty character but falls in love at the end.
sleepless town-i also like the quiet bad boy character like some of you guys. agree......he looks absolutely gorgeous and yummy in this movie, too.
returner-my 2nd tk movie. i just love him in leather and long hair. i didn't necessarily like the movie plot but tk did a great job in his role.
downtown torpedoes-tk as a spy? he can spy on me anytime.
fallen angels-although i didn't that manly deep voice of his in this movie it was fun to see him do what he did in this movie.
chungking express-though he's only in half of this movie i still enjoyed seeing this movie.
lost & found-the only thing i liked about this movie is tk himself. i agree with someone with the focus on the other 2 main characters.
the odd one dies-the leading lady blew it for me. if it was for tk being in the film i would've passed it.
i'm expecting burger cop and china dragon from netflix today. i hope they're not a disappointment. i hope they're enjoyable like some of you guys say.
i can't wait for perhaps love to be shown here in old tejas. when it does, i'm there. i'm also thinking of buying tltr, lavender, and tempting heart on the net. i can't find them in local video stores nor in netflix and i would really love to see these movies.

wow, seems like hofd is what did it for most of us.....
1. hofd - my first tk movie, def. love at first sight....and i actually saw this movie by......i was gonna say accident, but i like the sound of fate or destiny better. i didn't go out and rent it, i was flipping thru the movie channels and stumbled upon it. from the title, i always thought it was another martial arts flick but to my surprise, it turned out to be a beautiful love story....one i really enjoyed.
2. turn left, turn right - although i have yet to see it in its entirety. i've had two different copies and they've both skipped and will not let me watch the ending in peace. another cute romantic story....john and eve are so meant for each other. and the doctor and the delivery girl are hilarious, they're loud, rude and hilarious....which made me love to hate them. my favorite part is the ending when that wall comes down and they hug...awe it was sweet...i think it would've been nice though if the writers threw in a kiss there.
3. lavender - i just love him in this movie, but then again when don't we love him. tk is adorable and funny. my favorite scenes....when he spends all day looking for those boots and when he did that apple thing with his armpits. i swear, i laughed so hard when they fell out and then he was going to eat it too!....that was too funny.
4. perhaps love - love it! i think througout most of the movie, i felt so sad for him....he looked so sad all the time that i just wanted to give him a big hug. it broke my heart to see him cry in that one scene when he comes back for her. not as much singing and dancing as i expected which is good, imo.
5. tempting heart - i'm a sap for love stories. i loved tk and gigi's characters...how they fell in love and stayed in love after all those years of being separated. didn't like the friend though.
6. returner - not a big fan of the story, but i watched it for tk, plus the second movie of his i watched. he's majorly hott with his leather coat and long reddish hair. and the 'i'm a badass assassin so don't mess with me attitude' is so freaking sexy. plus i love it when he's frustrated, he's so funny.
7. anna magdalena - he's super nerdy in here, but still so hott. i especially liked it when he was brushing his teeth and sort of doing a little dance. and the x and o characters were funny.
8. chungking express - tk wasn't in there very long, but i enjoyed every second he was on screen. i never did finish watching the rest, it just didn't interest me without tk being in the story.
9. dr. wai - hmmmm....not sure what to say about this one....that's why it's at the bottom of my list. i didn't watch the whole thing....couldn't....saw only the beginning and the ending.
expecting to get more movies soon, so i'll add them as i watch.
i also love god please give me more time and golden bowl...if i comment on these i'll be here till the morning so i'll leave'em for another thread.

HOFD of course comes first, because it was the first TK film I ever saw. It wasn't a movie I wanted to watch at first but I was bored and it was playing on a movie channel so I decided to watch it, and I'm so glad I did because I soon as I saw him I was hooked. (I caught the movie at the part where he was at the Peony Pavilion) Returner was the second movie I saw. Not one of my favorites, but it was still entertaining and had a lot of action. I think my fav part was when the girl (her name escapes me at the moment) put the "bomb" on his neck. I thought that was funny. Lavender: I was dying to see this movie! I think I spent a week looking for it, lol. Anyway, I luved it. TK as an angel? Adorable! It's one of my favorites Sleepless Town: TK as a bad guy? ;D ;D ;D Chungking Express: Really good movie. Now I'm a wong kar wai fan, lol. The first story was good but I liked the second one more. Turn Left, Turn Right: I have to say is another favorite. It was cute. I luved the story and the other two characters were so funny! I could watch this movie over and over again Perhaps Love: My friend had the dvd and didn't tell me! I just watched it today and it was really good. I luv the soundtrack too. I didn't think I would like TK singing but I really enjoyed it. I have one of the songs stuck in my head. I think it's called Crossroads? Anyway, the crying scenes really got to me. The range of emotions he can go through are just amazing. I'm still waiting for Anna Magdalena and Tempting Heart Wow...I can't believe I saw all these movies. Mind you, I first saw HOFD in the beginning of last month, and have been going crazy ever since, lol. And if you actually read through this boring post I just wrote, bless your dear heart. lol

My list - well what I think this week, anyhow... 1. Lovers (HOFD) 2. Perhaps Love / Sleepless Town 3. Lost and Found 4. Tempting Heart 5. Fallen Angels / Chungking Express 6. Anna Magdalena 7. Lavender 8. Too Tired to Die / The Odd One Dies 9. Space Travellers 10. Dr Wai & The Scripture With No Words It's very hard to rate them. Some I found a bit silly, but maybe that's because Iam not a teenager any more - maybe if I was looking at them from a younger perspective... There are so many in which Takeshi has a certain indefinable something that takes his character out of the ordinary. Sometimes, not even he can save the movie. I loved Lovers because I am a fan of Zhang Yimou's, and it was so lush. Everyone lost something - life, love: Perhaps Love because it's more than about losing something / Sleepless Town - People caught in hopeless situations, choices - mostly bad, people unable to break out of a downward spiralling cycle: Lost and Found - here we go with that losing thing again... because his character is so bouyant, and I loved the scene where he is struggling to talk in the hospital: Tempting Heart - loving and losing.. a continuing theme, I felt for his character when he asked the question he had to ask, and was rejected: Fallen Angels - the pig riding, the ice cream feeding and the lovley scenes with his character's father / Chungking Express - was just so different: Anna Magdalena - playing a character who is afraid to speak out, but in the end says they were going on different roads, and the story at the end. All about love: Lavender - what's not to love?: Too Tired - great death scene & The Odd One - so many sad stories, but ultimately - redemption?: Space Travellers - what price freedom?: and last, but not least - watch it if only to see Takeshi in drag! I did quite like Returner and Downtown - don't know where to put them. Didn't include Kamisama mou sukoshi dake & Misty because they are made for TV. The first is not too bad - although I think the female lead was not as appealing as they hoped she would be. If you are just getting it for TK - you will not be disappointed - he does very well, and the camera loves him. Misty is a remake of Kurosawa's Rashomon. Brutal.
