Rate your TK movies

Hi all - I have an idea for those interested - rank your TK movie collection from favorite to least. And say why if you like.

1. HOFD - love @ first sight for me, plus this is a great flick
2. Sleepless Town - I liked the story, good looking film and TK is very hot & sexy (I like bad boys)
3. Space Travelers (ties w/ST for 2nd fav) - good story/movie, had me laughing and then teary eyed at the end. I liked TK's character and he was very handsome - no glasses, funny hairstyles/colors or grungy clothes.
4. TLTR - liked movie, especially the happy ending
5. Returner
6. Tempting Heart - good romantic movie, liked trip back to the 70's.
7. Lavender - can't beat TK and angels - no less TK as an angel ( what a concept) movie was cute and I liked the ending
8. The Odd One Dies - mixture of emotions - funny, sad , and kept me hooked to the end
9. Anna Magdalena - movie was okay, TK's character was kind of bland. I liked the "Zero & Cross" part best.
10. Hero - pretty bad movie, but TK looked good in those vintage suits - TK's too sweet to be a martial artist

My list is subject to change. Have seen, but not decided yet how to rank Lost & Found.

Haven't seen Hero or Sleepless Town or Space Travelers yet.. I changed the order of these movies 10 times already and am not sure of the order still....OH this is too hard!!!

Hi Tatiana - don't worry your ranking is not set in stone. Wow - you have a lot of TK movies. How was Dr. Wai - I keep passing that one up.

Continue to pass up Dr. Wai..That's why it's at the bottom of my list. It was just too ridiculous for my taste.

Cool - what about "Too Tired To Die"? Same thing - I've read different things and not sure if I would enjoy watching TK commit suicide.

Hmmm, I liked about half of this movie- parts of it are senseless, and TK killing himself is too much to bear/watch!! You need to watch all the TK movies simply because he's in them!!

1. Tempting Heart (because TK made me feel so sad for him)
2. Turn Left Turn Right (I like the picture quality - high resolution... story is ok too)
3. House of Flying Daggers (good story..... but I don't like Zhang Ziyi)
4. Returner (Because his hair and clothing is awesome)
5. Lavender (I like his crusty old boots - reminds me of mine)
6. Space Travelers (has some of my favorite Japanese actors in it)
7. Anna Magdelena (I like this 'cause TK looks just like my brother in this movie and vice versa)
8. Hero (only watched halfway through. TK's movie brother hurt my eyes)

Fallen Angels and Downtown Torpedoes - Can't rate them because I did not watch them yet.

3. Golden Bowl (not a movie I know, but he is totally awesome in that)

I hated Dr. wai... but he is still Hot in my book..

I haven't seen all of his movies yet, but my ranking goes:
1. HOFD (fantastic acting, gorgeous scenery, great plot. I couldn't ask for more in a movie)
2. Chungking Express (he just breaks my heart in this. I love when he berates the conveneince store clerk for not considering the pineapple's feelings)
3. Fallen Angels (again proves what a skilled actor he is. And he massages a pig and forces people to eat ice cream. I love his quirky roles)
4. Lost and Found (again, so quirky. And when he holds his baby at the end...melting!!)
5. Too Tired to Die (TK speaking English and asking "can I have sex with your wife?")
6. Returner (a throw-away movie, but TK with long hair, leather and shades, Whoo!)
7. Sleepless Town (I had trouble following it. I think I have to see it again. There are soo many characters.)
8. Downtown Torpedoes (I hate to admit that I was so bored, I stopped watching halfway through. Even TK's good looks couldn't save this for me.)
I have Odd One Dies out from NetFlix now and plan on watching it this weekend. I also have "School Days." This is my third copy, and I have yet to test it to see if it will play properly. That's what I get for buying a probably pirated copy from YesAsia.

HOFD --- 10/10 --- this is the movie that got me hooked

Fallen Angels --- 9/10 --- ive never seen an actor who can play mute and did it so well

The Odd One Dies --- 9/10 --- he had a few lines but he's awesome throughout

Turn Left Turn Right --- 9/10 --- i love this movie with TK playing a violin? what more can i ask?

Sleepless Town --- 9/10 --- i noticed that he's pretty comfortable in playing his role (i wonder if he's been nominated in this movie)

Tempting Heart --- 9/10 --- he's playing a 19 year old student (at 25)... not bad at all... i love the story

Chungking Express --- 8/10 --- he's pretty good but he's too young and too gorgeous to play a broken hearted 25 yr old cop (i think he was only 20 at that time)

Lavander --- 8/10 --- this is one of his movies that i can watch over and over again.. it is so entertaining

Space Travelers --- 8/10 --- he was pretty relaxed on this one but he gave it all at the end.. that part when he cried was unforgettable :-(

Hero --- 8/10 --- i love it when TK does martial arts

Returner --- 7/10 --- TK is so takeshilicious in leather but not too keen on the story

Downtown Torpedoes --- 7/10 --- This is an ok film.. i like the story but there's something missing...

Lost and Found --- 6/10 --- The story's ok but it revolves more on Kelly Chan than TK... i get bored if TKs not on the scene... first time i heard TK sing...

Too Tired To Die --- 6/10 --- I love TK when he speaks English but I can't stand him dying in this film

I am halfway watching Golden Bowl and i rate it --->>> 11/10 .... very entertaining and addictive

Golden Ball is my absolute favorite Takeshi film/drama. You get to see him laughing, making jokes but there is also the sad,vulnerable part too. It is much more uplifting than many of the movies he is in. There is also a lot of wit and humor. I have watched it several times. It is addictive!

Hi Aussiefan and Mercedes!
I just finished watching Golden Bowl and loved it!! I just thought I'd peek at it to see what it was all about and before you know it I got sucked in and watched all 11 episodes! It is Fantastic- soooo much of Takeshi I just love his character-he is so attractive and interesting and soo desirable. Watching dramas are amazing in that you get TK for more than 2 Hours!!! Enjoyed all the different storylines.
