Feeling Of Love ('Zhong qing ai qing gan jue') (1996) Synopsis: TK plays a Hong Kong romantic waiting to meet his perfect woman while his friends frivolously aquire and disgard women left, right and centre. One day on his way to work, he sees a woman (played by Athena Chu) who catches his eye and whom he falls for instantly - her fiery rebuffing of his advances toward her only making him fall deeper for her. To both the characters surprise (and dismay) she turns out to be not only his new supervisor at work but (drum roll..) also the daughter of the woman his father has fallen for in the USA and brought back to Hong Kong - his soon to be new step - sister! There follows the interwoven tales of TK and his friends all looking for girls and love, in their quite different ways; and ultimately the story of the fiery and tempestuous relationship between the new step-brother and step sister (TK and Athena Chu) and the development of these two characters who have been thrown together. There follows much (very) low budgeted capery, larking about and the japes of the hormonally rampant young men and the occasional squabble between newly found step siblings, with the occasional low tech special effect thrown in for good measure!

Has anyone else seen this movie? i bought it the other day after seeing it collecting dust in the back of a second-hand record shop - i'd never heard of it before, so i figured it was worth a shot! well, what can i say? it's been pretty slated and lambasted by pretty much every single reviewer i can find on the web.. the reviews make pretty spiky reading - heres a couple of them: www.lovehkfilm.com/reviews/feeling_of_love.htmwww.imdb.com/title/tt0116290/ Oh dear! It's pretty low budget, and the director obviously has no sense of (or care for?) the importance of continuity in a film as TKs hair appears both long and short - in two completely different styles! - in adjacent scenes, indictating pretty lazily done retakes. Granted, it is a pretty dumb flick and during the first 10/15 minutes i was kinda like, 'What IS this??!!' but for all it's flaws, it had kind of grown on me by the end. I mean, it was obviously v cheaply shot and the storylines were for the most part pretty silly, but there were a couple of genuinely funny moments [ There's a part in which TK and his friend are following his step-sister and take on a variety of disguises - You get to see TK dressed up as, in turn... a brick wall, a bush, a manequin in a department store.. and the front end of a horse yes.really.it's true. ] that had me chuckling. It's kind of one of those pretty bland teenage flicks - you know, lots of silliness, lots of tom-foolery and mucking around and a few pretty cringeworthy but harmless leering shots of girls in bikinis. oh..and we see TK diligently munching through tins of pineapples again! Poor guy.. i hope he likes pineapples and isn't suffering for his art too badly! All in all, if you have an idle hour or two to while away, give this a go..its brainless and perky! Has anyone else seen this, and if so what did you make of it? Love, EA

Hello, ElfinAniki! Yes--I saw this silly movie! Your're right on all counts! The only reason I watched this and included it in my collection of Takeshi films is because of--yes---Takeshi! Ha! Ha! I didn't like the fact that they had to place this Godawful dubbing! Why, oh, why can't they leave Takeshi's voice alone!! I watched the movie a couple of times just for Takeshi's various adorable scenes--such as the 'headband' confrontation with his supposed sister-to-be, and the way his stepmother-to-be insisted on giving him a more than motherly 'good morning' kiss--among others! And the outtakes while the credits were rolling are priceless! Glad you rescued this movie from the dustbin!

Wow this movie seems bad. Maybe I shouldn't add it to my collection then. Takeshi's voice is awsome but if I cant hear it then why bother buying this.

Hi EA! Thanks for the synopsis! No, I haven't seen this movie, because no one's talked about it! So, our motto should be: Any movie with TK in it is worthy of viewing - so I'll look for it!
