People, I just saw on IMDB.com that Takeshi will star at TEKKEN, based upon a game. Any news? namarië.

HOLYFREEHOLY!! I've seen TEKKEN but I never bought a copy from the series. I have wanted to as I love the fighting genre in videogames. I wonder if he'll be playing.. just a sec!! Here's someone's list of who should play who: img101.imageshack.us/img101/852/tekkencast5fj.jpg |

IMDB has him down to play Jin Kazama.
I don't do fighting games, but I haven't been impressed with any movies that have been made from them. Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter . . . . Part of my hopes this is all a BIG mistake.

Mortal Kombat: blame Paul Anderson. I love the videogame series and I cannot believe what Anderson did to my dear Subby!!
Street Fighter: better than Anderson's live action Mortal Kombat.
I miss Raul Julia.
I'm gonna give Tekken a chance, since my Asian crush will be in it.

Let's hope that this movie becomes a success... it's good that Takeshi got the lead.. im just a bit worried on how they will transform Takeshi physically... lol.. a buffed TK.. whow!!

I thought I was the only one who missed Raul Julia!  A friend tells me that Tekken has a stronger plot than either MK or Street Fighter. The guy who directed Drumline is directing and the guys who wrote the first Tomb Raider movie are writing. I suppose this is why he's at UCLA buffing up on his English? |

Hope he do well with this movie, he always looking for something new, but they have to buff him up. Not sure if it is the right movie for his proper debut to Hollywood.

 I was just at IMDB and they no longer show Takeshi playing Jin in Tekken...... www.imdb.com/name/nm0437580/The Tekken page changed there, too, even though the updated date didn't. (still says March 05). It used to show a short list of the cast, now it doesn't. www.imdb.com/title/tt0411951/Huh. So......I wonder what he's up to then....as he's listed as not having anything on his plate. Of course, IMDB is not the God-source on everything but hell....they're usually pretty right on.... Well, I suppose we'll see.......

They're known to change things around and add new things AND bring back actors who were previously listed as Character A then taken off and then put back on.
Only time will tell.

I just found out on a different forum there that anyone with an account can go in there and make changes (which is really lame) so...yeah.....who knows......
