Perhaps Love is available on dvd. Release date is January 11, 2006.
It is the Chinese version (only version available right now)
Contains two discs. English subtitle is available.
Warning! It is only in PAL format so unless your dvd player can play pal then dont buy it. Most American dvd players play only NTSC format.
You can buy it from Sensasian.com
As for me. I am holding out and hoping that they will release a limited edition of Perhaps Love.

You can check your dvd manual if you still have it or you can search for your dvd model online to see if it is able to play PAL format dvds.
The PAL format is often used for European countries and some Asian countries but I think Brasil also uses PAL, I'm not sure though. I think Brazil uses PAL-M. Its confusing.
Or you can wait for a little longer. I bet they will release other dvd versions of Perhaps Love within a few months. China usually releases movies before any other country to combat piracy. Thats why we only have the choice of the Chinese version right now, but they'll most likely release the Korean, Hong Kong, Japanese....etc versions soon and we'll have the choice of either the NTSC or PAL version.

I soooo wanted to see this on the big screen. Our local rep cinema appears to be my only hope.

The Hong Kong version of this film is due to be released on Jan 26, 2006 according to yesasia.com. It is Region 0 and is in NTSC format.
there are three Hong Kong versions
Perhaps Love (3-disc VCD) version US$8.99 Perhaps Kove (2-disc Special Limited) version US$14.99 Perhaps Love (2-disc Golden Limited) version US$29.99
I am going to wait to see if they will release a Korean boxset version. The Koreans tend to release better dvd versions with much better packaging (which is good for dvd collectors like me hehehe)

Hi all - I just preordered "Perhaps Love" on DVD from HKFlix.com. It's a NTSC format, but is Region 3. There are 2 versions - SE (2 discs) for $17.95 and a limited (4000 copies) version for $39.95, which includes a 26 - page book containing stills from the film. I've ordered from HKFlix.com many times and recommend them - located in Oakland, CA.
I AM SO EXCITED AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS FILM!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Hey Windysgirl! I've ordered from Hkflix a few times before. Never had a problem with them. They are pretty good sellers.
Hello Kris! You're new? Welcome to the forum. I want to get the gold edition too but, I've been buying a lot of movies so I'll have to wait awhile to get Perhaps Love.
I wish they would release a Perhaps Love dvd version with a little Takeshi figurine. That would be sooooo cool! Oh! Did you guys know there's a Samanosuke/Takeshi figurine? I saw it on ebay awhile ago. It looks just like Takeshi. I wish I could get it but it was like $200.

HI !!! I don't think I will be able to see this movie in cinema. In my country asian films are not popular, so my only hope is to buy "Perhaps Love" on DVD (I realy don't know when will be available in stores ). Funny, I don't think so: when several weaks ago I wanted to buy "RETURNER" DVD in the biggest multimedia store in my town, the shop assistand just stare at me and say: "Returner"? was such a film?... My heart just felt down the stairs when she said that

Perhaps Love didn't get an Oscar nomination. There goes our last chance for a wider US release. Guess I'll only see it on DVD now.
