I watched Lavender today and can't top grinning.

Takeshi was so hilarious in "Lavender"  "Chungking Express" and "Tempting Heart" are both very good movies. |

I felt the same way as u kris... at first i ordered 3 (i think i also ordered lavander, chungking and tempting heart).. but then after watching them, i wanted to see more... TK is so addictive... so i wrote down all TK's movies and searched them on ebay, hkflix, yesasia... whether the movie is good or bad.. i want them... LOL...

omg, i think i'm going tk nuts here....i just ordered more stuff god, please give me more time and turn left turn right and i'm also ordering golden bowl and some other media from webmaster....and i just read the 25 page synopsis of god, please give me more time and it is sooooo good, i truely can't wait to watch that and all the others.

melmar82, i just watched lavender. i didn't get my copy yet but i rented it from our local asian video store....to my surprise, i found turn left, turn right also and love both of them. you can read my comments about tltr in the other thread.
anyways, back to lavender....omg, i love tk in there...he's so funny and adorable...there were parts that made me laugh so hard i had tears. i just thought it was cute how he spent the entire day looking for those sneakers that athena threw out....and when he finally found them....oh his smile is just too adorable.
and i liked how they ended the movie. it was a happy ending where you could think that they lived happily ever after....i'm glad the writers brought him back as the painter who whistled at her everyday as she walked home.

I thought the sneaker part was adorable too! I also liked the part where they were on that ramp..rolling ramp thingy...the name escapes me at the moment, lol. It's the part where he was trying out the sneakers. I thought that was funny and cute.
There are only a few actors (very few) where I like all movies they have been in and so far Takeshi is in this category. I bought Chunking Express and found Sleepless town (they also had fallen angels but that was 30 dollars!). I watched ST last night and was shocked at how different it was from the other movies of his I've seen so far. He is such a versatile actor.

hehhe that ramp rolling thingy is an escalator. I like that part also. My favorite part of the movie was when Takeshi went around town searching for his beloved boots.

i just got in the mail my copy of god please give me more time. i am so happy i have this silly grin on my face....anyway i'll be back to jabber about it when i'm done watching it....i'm assuming each episode is about 45 minutes or so. am i crazy, i'm gonna try to watch it all tonight....see you guys in about 10 to 11 hours...hehe

That drama was so good! I watched the whole thing in one day too, lol. I went through a whole range of emotions watching it, lol. And about half a box of tissues  |

omg! where to even start with kamisama...it is not only my favorite tk movie but my favorite movie, period. i though it was going to be truely long but actually it wasn't long enough and i was sad to see it end. although while i was watching all episodes i neglected my family, which they do not appreciate, i enjoyed every minute of it. and i will watch it all over again as soon as i'm able to set aside ten hours again....
i remembered the first scene where i really cried....that was the part where masaki learned that kiego was hiv negative and they embraced....then after that i could not stop sobbing....i probably used up a whole box of tissue.
i loved some of the last scenes seeing takeshi with a baby and the little girl, as sachi grew up.....it just looks like it comes so naturally for him....i'm sure he will be a wonderful husband and father one day.

well some of my tk movies arrived yesterday and i watched tempting heart and chungking express.
tempting heart, i like. at first i was a little confused because of the going back and forth with the flashbacks but i finally figured out that cheryl was sherou and she was telling her employee about her first love. it was a bittersweet love story....i really wished they had gotten back together though. i didn't like the fact that tk's character (i forget his name, is it ho-jun) married chenli...she seemed like a junkie and i didn't feel as though she was good enough for him. but my favorite part of the movie was at the end when cheryl opened the gift that he gave her and found the pictures. it was sweet how he took the pics when he missed her and wrote the dates and times on them and then kept them for her all those years.
okay, chungking express....i got mixed feelings about this film. first off, why wasn't tk on the cover of the dvd? ....everyone elso was....i think tk should've been on there, instead of quentin tarantino......just weird. i didn't like how the movie kept shifting from one story to another and then after not seeing tk on the screen for ten minutes, i was like wtf? where the hell is tk....all of a sudden they're showing this other cop in a uniform. so i fastforward throughout the rest of the movie and there was no more tk....i was bummed. on the bright side, i did enjoy watching tk.....he's hilarious. i like the scene where he eats all 30 cans of pinapple. another funny scene was when he was desparate for a date and called anyone he could think of, even someone from gradeschool.
