Looking at the pictures my guess is that Andy will play the second brother, the one with the beautiful wife and dies, Jet plays the oldest, Ma, and TK the youngest, seeking revenge. In the original movie, Ti Lung played Ma (he was the TK of his time; although only in HK). The second brother's character was the brawns play by rough looking Chen Guang Tie (probably spelled wrong), but the third brother was the brains played by David Chang (another mega HK actor in the 70's). All this history thanks to my mom (she's very knowledgeable with Shaw movies).
Does anyone know when and where this is filming?

According to IMDB, "The Warlords" or "This Violent Land" or "Ci Ma" (name of movie) started filming in Dec 2006 and will be released Dec 2007. The film location is near Beijing and Shanghai. My original guess of the actors and roles are confirmed by this site. www.imdb.com/title/tt0913968/Unfortunately the beautiful wife will be played by Jinglei Xu (Susan/wife in Confessions). Personally I wished they would pick someone better looking. Good news TK doesn't get the woman. |

I think this movie looks incredible! I have always been a huge fan of Jet Li, thought Andy Lau was awesome in HoFD, and there are no words for what I feel about TK. Well, there are words, but kids might be listening...I can only say that Takeshi looks amazing in these photos. What a beautiful Man he has grown to be! Always beautiful...but He looks so.... grown! Yes, thats me making those yummy noises.  sorry. |

Jinglei Xu is the woman in the last picture of 'lovetk' #22 reponse. The picture with TK sleeping? and the woman in a white Chinese outfit.
