Hello!
Does anyone here watch Japanese films? I mean, do you really watch a lot or are experts in them? I need help because I can't find the information I'm looking for and I'm not Japanese.
I would like to know if anyone here has watched two films: one is called "Fukumimi" or "Lucky Ears" in the English title. The other film is Star of the Prefecture Government (with Kou Shibasaki). I don't know the Japanese title for this one.
I have some questions about these two, about scenes and lines in these movies and purchasing information for these films. I watched these Japanese films during a few airplane flights recently. They were very good. I enjoy foreign films and the Japanese channel on the airplane always has good works. I also have become a fan of Japanese music like J-Pop and J-Rock, because I've been listening to them on the airplane radio stations during flights. Thank you!

Star of the prefecture government's japanese title is Kencho no Hoshi
I searched various online retailers that sell Japanese movies and could not find a legitimate version that has English subtitles. However, I did find Star of the Prefecture Government (Kencho no Hoshi) on Ebay.com and it did have English subtitles. Keep in mind that it is a factory pressed bootleg though.
Most lesser known Japanese movies will not a dvd release with English dubbing or subtitles. Many times, you will be better off searching on Ebay for a bootleg which will have Japanese, Chinese, and English subtitles.
I haven't seen these movies so I can't answer any questions you have about the movie itself. Sorry =(
