I'm actually new to the forum, but not a new TK fan. Years ago, I first saw him in the Executioners and then ChungKing Express. He played both his characters well in the two movies, but I didn't care for the plots. Later on, I was introduced to many Hong Kong movies co-starring TK. These were mostly silly films.
I have to say, I was seriously hooked when I watched the Japanese drama, "God Please Give Me More Time". From there, I rounded up most of his more popular films (HOFD, Perhaps Love, Returner etc.). TK in character is believable, regardless of what they are (whether assassin, lover, angel etc.). I found he projects a sort of universal appeal. Perhaps his rich background helps him achieve this. TK does not come across as local as say a China, HK or Taiwan star usually does (although he does rather well playing local characters).
I realized TK's looks had matured very nicely and I prefer his present look rather than his younger slightly girlish looks. He's just one of those people who looks better with age. He is definitely more manly nowadays.

I missed seeing HOFD on the big screen and was happy Blockbuster had it for rental. I didn't know who Takeshi-san was at the time (rented it cuz I heard the director was good.) But boy, at the end of the movie, I was just floored by Takeshi-san's acting presence on the screen (not to mention his good looks) and rented every movie Takeshi-san starred in that Blockbuster had! Which was "Chungking Express", "Lost and Found" and "Returner". The more movies I watched which he starred in, the more I wanted to find out about this multi-lingual talented star who was a conundrum in the entertainment world. After googling to find more information, I found this website and as they say, the rest is history LOLOL!
