CHUNGKING EXPRESS, FALLEN ANGELS and HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS. They are essentials.

If you want 10+ hours of Takeshi.... i recommend u watch "Golden Bowl".. it's not a movie -- it's a Japanese drama... but u'll surely enjoy it...

I love Tempting Heart, Lost and Found. These movies touch the heart. Also love Chungking Express and Fallen Angels. And Anna Magdalena. I love these quirky films he does.
Personally I don't quite like HOFD, too commercial and the story is not that great. But, the visuals are stunning and Takeshi looks great!

FALLEN ANGELS. Absolutely. Then, just to get an idea what great range he has, rent the sad and dark 'Sleepless Town'. It's not that I love ST but T's performance in that is a great departure from something like FA. You have to see at least two movies of an actor to get the gist of their ability and range. I also really love 'Lost and Found'. A beautiful little jewel of a movie. Don't miss that one. See it for T and no one else. Others in the movie are lousy but it's worth a viewing to experience the incredible sweetness of a man named "Worm". But see Fallen Angels before anything if you can help it. And 'Chungking Express' is great...come to think of it you really should see CE and then FA because they tie in together.

You just have to see "Tempting Heart" with TK and Gigi Leung, directed by Sylvia Chang. My favorite TK movie.

::)I'll suggest "Sleepless Town" and "Returner"....a totally different Takeshi!!! Both women and men love the characters... Compare with Golden Bowl why not the Japan drama..."Love 2000"?! Honest saying...asian fans love his commercial images more than in a film...all are amaizing ...and made you dream. That's why he also be selcted as the best lover.

Konnichiwa, I don't just have one to recommend. My favorites are Fallen Angels, HOFD and Sleepless Town. I've seen all his movies (except for those movies that are "out of print" ) and these are my favs. In Fallen Angels he plays to kookie guy, hillarious. Everytime I see this movie he makes me laugh. He's a riot. As for HOFD, "wow" first movie I ever saw him in. He blew me away, a playboy who finally finds true love, and you know the rest. Don't want to give it away for those who have not seen it.... In Sleepless Town, he's just sexy - this is the film where he has the most love scenes. Sexy boy that he is "wow". Good plot and story. Enjoy the movies... [glow=red,2,300]M[/glow] __________________________________________ because he dreams in Japanese.....
