Don't know about you but I find myself smiling when he truly smiles too  It's just like how some people's laughs are so infectious that when you hear them laugh, you can't help but laugh with them! (Been told I'm like that...when I start to giggle/laugh people can't help but smile and laugh too.)  ;D |

Oh! just thought of one more.... I was watching "the making of Golden Bowl" with my sister-in-law the other day and they had this scene where the cute lil' boy is trying to say his line on que in a scene with Takeshi-san and he flubs up a bit. The look Takeshi-san gives to the lil' boy is so heart-warming and sweet. To me, there's such love in that gentle smile he gives to the boy that I blurted out loud, "You know he'll give that exact same look to his own child someday. They'll be truly loved by him." My sister-in-law was rewinding that scene to see what I talking about, I played/giggled with my three yr old niece and my sister-in-law looked at me and said, "You have the same look on your face when you play with her too (my niece.) No adult can disguise the love they have for kids from the heart. Looks like he does too." |

Konnichiwa, Yes, Takeshi is bibishii - I have this thing about his jaw (call me weird) - I would love to run my hand on it. Also, his hands, he has the most expressive (strong) hands I've ever seen. How about those eyes!!! Dewa mata, I could look at him all day. Alas, if only.......  |

lol blean, you're definitely as weird as the rest of us on this forum  I love looking at men's hands too. Especially if they have watches, rings, or bracelets. I dunno why- I think it tells a bit about them (though I don't like too much jewelry on them) Yes, Miyamoto, I think we all have said that too. haha ;D |

Ooohhh....his strong hands and arms...Taksehi, I want a hug. LOL Hes got the same tastes in watches as me. I love the way when he tried to be all profound and he gets confused himself, I love his geeky, silliness. Like in one of his interviews he talked about destiny, true love, the meaning of love etc...like hes an expert but when was asked has he found his true love yet, he said "no" and laughed embarrassedly. LOL He mades me laugh, I think he was a bit confused with the perhaps love plot. He has a bad memory, hes a guy you can play silly tricks on. LOL |

LOL LOLOL...I seem to recall that interview, at least read about it somewhere  You know, I'm watching "Takeshi Kaneshiro's Antarctic Adventure" now (yes tje, I got it!) and there's parts where he's being interviewed by the NHK crew and it's interesting you bring up how in some interviews he kinda loses his train of thought especially when he's really getting "deep" or "philosophical" cuz he mentions in one interview in this that maybe it's due to him knowing 5 languages but not well enough in at least one that sometimes he has trouble finding the exact word or phrase to convey what he's thinking. Which I can understand cuz sometimes I can't find the correct word or phrase to describe something in English but I know the perfect word in Japanese (or another language)..... Omoshiroi desho? |

....which leads kewpie-chan to make yet another Takeshi-san habit after watching his antarctic adventure. At first I thought it was cuz he's in the arctic tundra in sub zero weather but then I noticed he does it in other movies/interviews.
And as I type this, I'm giggling cuz it's kinda stupid but he sniffles a lot. Takeshi-san, do you have bad allergies??

That could just be a sign of nervousness, you tend to shiver or get a bit hot when you do, then your noise starts to run a bit. ;D I have noticed that he was so uncomfortable when there are strangers around especially when there are lots ppl. He looked very nervous when he was doing the PL promo, one time as he was walking down the red carpet, screaming fans on both sides, he started to tap his fingers on his own thigh, shaky hand, signs of nervousness. He seems more relax this time round though making this new movie, maybe he has been laying low for too long last time. ;D |

Jean, you've got a point here. I think you could be right in saying that Takeshi-san's nevousness could be due to him having stayed away from the public/outside world far too long. I believe I can safely say this 'cos, I am having a similar personal experience.
After an accident which left me partially paralysed, I was so devasted and disappointed that I totally cut myself off from the outside world for a few years (the time also happened to be my physical rehab years). But now when I am ready to join society again, I find that I am as nervous as hell everytime I walked out of the door and I would feel most nervous and uncomfortable when I am near lots of people. It is just some feeling which we cannot control.
