Send Happy Birthday Wishes 2007

As fans of TK, wouldn't it be nice if we could put together a huge birthday card with all the members and guest of this forum and send it off to TK's agency this October.

I imagine everyone of us has a birthday wish we want to express. Unfortunately, I am not that computer savvy so someone who is should spearhead this venture.

I don't know anything about computer, but if your guys need something such as Takeshi's pictures or something easy(sorry, that's all I can do )

yeah i agree that would be really cool! i can do some computer graphics but they're pretty bad - i'd give it a shot for takeshi but if someone else is more confident i'd be happy to be let off. ;] what sort of thing were you thinking of? and when exactly uis his birthday? (lol sorry not very commited of me is it?)

Hi Tina & Helena,

I was thinking of someone creating an on-line active card if there's such a thing. It should look like a card where we (fans) can actually type a message to him, add the country where we live, some information about ourselves and/or a picture of ourselves (if we want).

The only downside of this idea is I'm not sure who can create this "card" and it seems TK's agency only accepts letters and postcards. We may actually have to send him a printed copy of this card, if it could be created. I can volunteer for this part.

We have some really creative, computer-types on this site; perhaps we can get a motivated volunteer?

I can paint in paper, not with computer. Just tell me what to do.

TK's site was not included for creative reasons, but just to show that his agency only accepts hard-copies (letters and postcards). There doesn't seem to be an email address on the site.

What language are you fluent with, since you mention you had to use a dictionary?

The card I have in mind is probably a bit complicated to create, at least from my point of view (since I am not good with computers). I am the type who usually calls my computer people for every small computer problem. lol

Hopefully, we can locate someone who is much, much more savvy and will want to take on this venture.

Dear media,

I'm Vietnamese so I speak Vietnamese. I just learning how to talk with foreign people in English just 3 months by now. That's why it is a little hard to have a conversation in my writing with everyone in here.

However, what we doing now with that "card". It's seem not much people interest on this lovely plain. And both of us don't know much about computer, specially me.

Do we have to thing something new.
I mean, just an opinion, I am thinking about chat-online with Takeshi, he said that he often goes to Internet and had a lot of chat's friend. The member in other webiste such as : takeshikaneshiro.net maybe knew.....

the hardcopy idea may be the one we have to go with. However, getting everyone's messages on could be a bit tricky. I mean we could hand write it or print it on. I am working on my husband to create an interactive card. I am not totally sure he can do it. If he can, I'll have to "pay" big time!

Oh, TK's birthday is October 11, 1973. Sorry assumed everyone understood American number dates.

The idea for TK's 2007 bday card is still kicking. We are trying to find ways to produce this card.

I am leaning towards a handmade card. My idea is still rough, but here's the thought (since we are getting excited)...

I'll create a hardcopy card out of "cardstock" probably measuring 12" x 24" or 12" x 36". Handcut and print "happy birthday TK" in both English and Chinese. I am working on an artist to make a caricature/cartoon or sketch of TK to put on the front of the card. The inside of the card will say something like "birthday wishes from your fans at takeshi-kaneshiro.com".

I am thinking all fans who wish to participate should write their bday wishes on this thread as follows:

attn: media/bday wish for card
write your message.

All wishes need to be in by September 1, 2007. I plan to send the card to TK's PR agency mid-Sept.
I will print your message onto card. When the card is ready, I will scan onto site for your review. Let's pray this comes out right.

Now if anyone has a better idea, let's have it before I start this massive project. This will take some time, as we all have day jobs. We do have a few months to pull this off.
