I got distracted LOL! If they ever make the manga series called "Ha Ou Ai Ren" by Mayu Shinjo into a movie or J-drama, I think he'd ROCK playing the lead character in the series named Hakuron (loosely translates to Black Dragon.) As we know, no one can hold a candle next to Takeshi-san when it comes to playing a character filled with angst and look so freakin' sexy at the same time!

Kewpie-Chan Thanks for the info, however I am Region 1, and can't get a subbed copy! . "Yuuki" posted on this board that if you go to "www.crunchyroll.com" you can find all 3 Japanese dramas, subs in English(yay!). Golden Bowl, Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake, and Love 2000! They are Uplinked, (streaming) and you can watch them in order, or just the episodes you want ! It has changed my life! Sigh!

Hey, Kewpie-Chan! I forgot to tell you, if you are looking for the books that Helena mentioned, (and if she doesn't mind me budging in ) The are called "The Tales of the Otori"by Lian Hearn Book #1 "Across the Nightingale Floor" #2 "Grass for His Pillow" #3 "Brilliance of the Moon" #4 "The Harsh Cry of the Heron" (final book) They are young adult fiction, but they are totally awesome! You can feel Takeshi all the way through. Too much information? Its the Librarian in me...

What books have any of you guys read that Takeshi would be perfect in? I am sort of a more to European sci-fi books so I guess Takeshi would be veryy good in Paul Anderson's Flandry novels based movies (as Dominique Flandry of course), also I think he would have been awesome in Strugatsy Brothers "A Boy From Hell" movie based on the book (he would look awesome as a bor form another dimention), I can say that he would have been very good acting Corvin from the Roger Zhelyazny "Amber Chronicles" if it is ever to be made as movies. But the thing is that I have been thinking of another aspect of your question more - I am very found of George Lucas and I know that he wanted to make his Star Wars firstly (before it was approved for shootings) with totally Japanese actors, so I think if it happened these days so that George Lucas had decided to remake his first Star Wars with Japanese actors I would love to See Takeshi as Luke Skywalker.......or Han Solo

We have mentioned Takeshi and Animae together in this forum before...(I forget where) I think Takeshi is a living breathing animae character. His features are the genetic base for every beautiful character I've seen! Is it just me?

the dying male clone in Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro.
If you haven't read the book, the story is about clones made only to provide organs to real humans. Society says these clones have no soul but as the story goes you realise they have a lot more heart than normal human beings. Takeshi would be great as the wasted good guy, and he would show the clone's soul better than anyone else.

that book sounds awesome! I can see Takeshi in a character like that. He can emote that soulful, innocent quality so well!

i almost bought that book. it sounded so interesting but i got "sky burial" in the end instead. should i have got "never let me go"? i thought it might be a bit depressing.
