"Stalking Takeshi...?"

Maybe its just me? but saying that we are huge fans of Takeshi, that we see and try to own every one of his movies, follow his career through the media, magazines and internet, relay our heartfelt thoughts and dreams about him to each other on this message board, and maybe (won't confirm this, keekee!) have a poster of him in the supply closet where I work, oh! and have a foot thick picture/mag article/movie scrapbook...all of these thing DO NOT make a person a Stalker.
(stalkers are creepy and hang out in shrubbery to collect used gum)
I prefer to consider my obsession with TK as a "Refined collection for my alternative life."
A "back-up life" as it were, in the event that I get a do-over.
Collector. Not stalker.

Naw we ain't.

We're fans of his and we love what he does. He makes movies, he graces covers of magazines (and inside), he does commercials, he makes serials, and has appeared in Onimusha, which makes us want to show how much we appreciate his hard work, so he makes us broke. x) He wouldn't do it if his heart wasn't into it. ^_^

Let's face it, he's fantasy. He's someone we see as like PERFECTION, the perfect man.

Fantasies of him don't do any harm to him or us. We know our limits. We don't bombard him with letters nor do we follow him around. We don't even knock on his door.

We respect his privacy and just let the squeeing and squealing come to when he's for our viewing pleasure!! ;D

*applauds* fine words, ladies. i think the bench mark is "does it bring happiness or suffering to the world?" - well, he doesn't even know about it (probably), and if he does, i'm sure he'd just be flattered, right? and for us, as you say, we keep a lid on it, and it brings us happiness.

i noticed that this is very intresting takeshi fans are very nice and respect takeshi but on the other hand fans of differnt actors and such stalk their celeberties and disrespect them alot
hmmm does takeshi have somthing that makes people fear him so you wont disrespect him or stalk him or is it some quality he has that prevents it hmmm? i think the word martial arts master very strong guy and plus carrys a 9mm with him makes people scared of stalking takeshi LOL

That is so funny! I don't know what it is that keeps people from harrassing him. You are right, other famous people get crazy stalkers all the time. I don't agree with the kung-fu-gu- toting-strong- man theory, tho...

If I were to come across Takeshi on the street or at a store or even at an airport, I'd keep my distance.

On the inside, for SURE I'd be wanting to rush over to meet him but that's HIS time and he rightfully deserves it.

However, if he's willing to meet his fans, I'll go and see him.

Of course, if someone were to make mention that I would LOVE to meet him (they'll clearly notice that on my face x) ) and that they can organise something, that would be so sweet.

That's to say if I were to meet him while I'm still here in Canada. I've spoken to many people and they have no clue who he is. My brother kind of knows (I told him about the Red Cliff movie. He loves the Dynasty Warriors series, as do I; and I asked him if he saw "House of Flying Daggers" and he said yes. I told him, "the guy who played Jin? He's Zhuge Liang.") Other than him and my crush (I had to tell him who Samanosuke is based off of because HE THINKS SAMMY IS SO COOL! But his favourite Onimusha game is Onimusha 2. But.. he's.. not.. in.. that.. one. He's mentioned at the beginning and that's it. Oh, don't get me wrong. I love the second one), I dun think he'd have people go "OMG!! TAKESHI KANESHIRO!!" and rush to him if he were to ever come here. Well, where I live in Canada, anyway.

Okay, TK jr, what does "c.c.w.lisence" mean?
As for the 9mm reference...eh! honto?? I'm not sure how strict the gun carrying laws are in Hong Kong, Taiwan, China. Although I've heard in Japan it's pretty strict. Is this true?

I think there are alot of respectful fans for many actors/actresses. I just think the media tends to look at the negative side. But I also think TK is a very respectful actor and the angel theory would be a good one. I'm not in favor of guns, but in the great US, you can carry as long as you are licensed.

Maybe it's because we know that Takeshi is particularly private? I know if I was a celebrity, I woudln't like to discuss my private life much either.
Besides, he's smart enough not to disclose his whole life in the media like so many other celebrities do, so perhaps that keeps fans...at bay?

Ehh dunno, he's legend.
