Not to be nit picky but she isn't considered an Asian American just because she was born in North America.
She's as Asian Canadian as she was born here. Saying Asian American means that the Asian was born in the States. She wasn't so you can't say she is even though she was born in North America. I'm Canadian and if I weren't caucasian, I'd be insert race here-Canadian, not insert race here-American because I wasn't born in the States but in North America, as it's not a country.
Anyway, sorry to have been a killjoy.
