when shooting the House of the Flying Daggers, Takeshi Kaneshiro san was in Ukraine with all of the shooting crue making final scenes in the natural park in the Transcarpathian region. In his interviews he said it was a real challenge for him to be involved into shootings in Ukraine but it was also a dramatic moment because the snow started suddenly and was not suppose to be in the ending of the film - I remember it was beautiful, very beautiful in the film in the end.........but What I want to ask is - if anyone knows anything about him saying anything else abut Ukraine? That is way too important for me to know that.

i think they filmed quite a lot of it in ukaine - the wood scenes and stuff... i think they talked about the language barrior for the cast, and things like that, but it could have been zhang yimou or some other person. sorry, i can't remember tk saying anything else about ukraine in particular...

No he did not say anything else about the Ukraine....only the director did. You can hear what he said by listening to the director's comment while watching HOFD.

I have HOFD but it is not full in UA license - I paid a lot for only a movie.....sad.
P.S.: I would hopefully ask you, guys, not to call Ukraine "The Ukraine" it is not rights since we are independents from 1991.
