Hi Webmaster! You've been on vacation for a long time. Does it cost a lot to go on vaction to China/Hong Kong? I would like to go there. I've only been to Taiwan and that was only because I had to make a stop to board another plane. I would like to go to Tokyo the most! Tokyo is the most expensive city in the world and it's also the most expensive place to go to for vacation. Takeshi lives there! *sigh* Anyone ever been there? Anyone planning to go there? If so...please take me along. I can fit in your briefcase.

Hey! I know... I've been on vacation for a long time and I'm still on it! I have one more month to go! phew~ it's a hard life... hehehehe I just got back from Singapore. So far I've been to Thailand, China and Hong Kong.... well I base in HK actually. If you wanna read 'bout my getaway to Singapore you can check out my blog. Does it cost a lot to travel? Well, it does But I guess it depends on how you wanna do it. You can be a backpacker, don't do any shopping but just take pictures... I'm sure that can save ya a bunch. I've never been a backpacker or travel on my own actually.. I'm not very sure if I could do it. But I've stayed in backpacker hostels in Europe and Asia when I traveled. They weren't so bad at all. Plus you can meet lots and lots of people from all over the world. If you're out-going enough and you like that kinda stuff, then it's probably your thing. I went to Japan last year... Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Nara. It was expensive though. We stayed in Marriott... we probably didn't have to. It was too nice. I'm sure there're hostels that would cost so much less. Then again.. you only live once. Take a vacation and have some fun too!!

It sure is a hard life isn't it WM? I wouldn't mind staying at a hostel if I were traveling alone. It could be fun. However, since I probably have to take my girlfriend with me she probably would want to stay at a hotel and shop. As for me I just want to go there and see all the places I've read about and take TONS of pictures. I must travel to Japan someday. I think it's time to stop buying dvds and start saving for my trip.
Have fun WM and show us some travel pictures if you can.

I was in Tokyo and Kyoto last year. I didn't want to leave Tokyo, I loved it so much! We spent relatively little money. We stayed in a businessman's hotel. It was like living in a shoebox for five days (I had to close my suitcase and sit it up so I could open the door!) We didn't eat at expensive restaurants and didn't buy expensive omiyage (souvenirs). So, if you save up a bit, a trip to Tokyo is totally do-able.
