3/5/05 - This week's "Weekly Feature - Way before "HOFD", there was this..." is up! Thank you, Webmaster for posting these 2 pics from TK's 'China Dragon' movie. I think it was released in 1995 or 1994? This was a nonsensical, slapstick kind of film with one of the lamest plots around! But--with TK starring in it with 2 cute (one chubby) little boys as his co-stars, some funny scenes involving TK--I think it's worth watching--if you're a die-hard TK fan--like yours truly! TK looked so young--like 'still-in-high-school' young! I loved the scene where he was in costume--a dream sequence--where he took out the pork buns stored in his topknot while seated at a table with his 'love interest', and after initially looking shyly at the lady--proceeded munching on the pork buns like a demented squirrel!! If nothing else, it's a totally different TK movie filmed in Hawaii--with everything thrown in--slapstick humor, big bad Caucasian wrestler-type actors as the chief villain's thugs, strange martial arts, 2 comical boy actors(and I mean little boys), and TK portrayed as a mobile fast-food operator/cook For anyone with extra time on their hands--this would be a fun, senseless way to use some of it!

Aren't those pictures of TK from the site update from his first HK movie, the Executioners ('93)? I'm so sure they are ... I have the video. In the Executioners, he plays this quasi-religous cult leader who has such a beautiful face that the villian in the movie (WARNING-SPOILER COMING UP) puts TK's head in a box & carries it around with him. Yuck. Depressing but atmospheric movie, produced by famous HK producer Johnny To & directed by HOFD's martial arts director, Ching Siu Tung. In "CHina Dragon" the scene that JadedDragon is talking about is actually a spoof of a movie directed by HK director Tsui Hark, called "The Lover." (I loved The Lovers.) But you'll notice that the clothing is different in China Dragon than in those posted pictures. In China Dragon at the top of TK's head there's a bun & a white hankerchief-like-thing over the bun, but in the posted pictures, there's nothing on his head.

BRAVO!! Jadedragon and Tanht, you guys are real TK fanatics Thanks, I can't really name these movies out....... I think I've seen "China Dragon" a loooong time ago before I got into TK. It was a stupid movie.. hehehe. What I really like are the "dancing" pictures from his old music video that I posted. They put a big smile on my face every time I look at them! So funny... he looked so retarded.. hehehehehe

I checked out 'The Executioners' once more and noted that Takeshi's costume in the movie is one and the same as the one in the pics posted by Webmaster. I just want to say, though, for all of you TK fans out their--this is one film that he has the least scenes in--and, I do mean very little! But, as usual--he stands out from among the many main stars of the movie. But, you die-hard fans should check out China Dragon, too. if nothing else, and you've got time to 'while away'--it's good for a few laughs and you'll see TK at his boyish best!

Glad to be in the same league with a die-hard TK fan No, unfortunately--I haven't had a chance to see this movie--trying to get a copy, though. Hopefully--very soon! Hey--isn't it about time you register and become a member of this awesome website? I mean--I think you have posted more messages than I have--a lot of helpful, informative posts, too. Have you seen Dr. Wai & the Scripture with No Name--Jet Li co-starring with TK? That's another interesting film Take care!
