Okay, this is in response to all the gay rumors and innuendoes. If the magazine article is to be believed, I guess he is dating secretly (as discussed in the "gigolos" section of this forum) and he does have a girlfriend.

In May, a HK publication said that in Cannes and in Hong Kong, Takeshi and a 30 year old male staff shared a room which has a double bed. So they suspect the two were gay.
When this news came out, Takeshi who had developed a 10 year following in Japan lost some female fans as the news spread.
The manager made an announcement and said that the staff is the most trusted one in the company and all Takeshi's work was organized by this assistant. So he often goes to Takeshi's room to discuss things. But they do not stay in the same room. After they finishes work, the assistant returns to his own single room to rest. Takeshi's room always have only one bed and as for it being a double bed, Takeshi is used to a double bed.
The manager explained further that Takeshi definitely likes girls but in recent years, he has been too busy to be in a relationship. In 1997 when he first arrived in Japan, he was in love with a Japanese model/actress called ¼ª´åÃÀ¼Í. They even stayed at Setagaya.
They were hounded by the reporters and were photographed from the moment they stepped out of the house to buying food at the markets. Because of being pursued too much, he split up with the girl.
It's been six or seven years now. 33 year old ex girlfriend is still not married and is still a model and an extra at the TV station. According to a magazine, the two has maintained their relationship secretly and never split up. And the manager also showed some of the photos of Takeshi being in love with the girl to show that he is not gay....
