You have the DVD in Japanese?? Kyaaaaa!!! Hoshii yo! BTW, can you let me know the link to the other forum you belong to? As for the press conference you mention. If you search in this forum, I did already translate one of the two. I believe the thread title is "Takeshi's 'Perhaps Love' Japan premier". Unfortunately, the link another forum member found was no longer accessible so I couldn't translate it. Much to the disappointment to everyone in this forum.
If you still have the link, lemme know and I can translate it for you.

I finally, FINALLY got to watch this movie yay!! Arigato Miki I thought it was pretty good too considering this was the time in his career where he has admitted in some interviews he was trying a lot of genres. Since I'm a bit of a movie buff, I already knew this movie was a "remake" of Akira Kurosawa's "Rashomon". For those of you who weren't too big of a fan of "Misty" or didn't quite understand the story, I highly recommend you rent Kurosawa's original. It's a classic (no doubt) and the storyline is VERY interesting, well paced and told. **spoiler alert!!** I felt the bandit's character in "Misty" was the weakest one in the film. Ironic since in the original "Rashomon" film, the bandit character (played by a very young Toshiro Mifune) was the focal point. In "Misty" the female character was the focal point while in "Rashomon", it wasn't. So it was very interesting to me to see the differences between the two. Also, the movie "Misty" was based only on the different POV's of the 3 characters without much background. So if any of you are confused, watch "Rashomon" and you'll understand the before and after of the story. Enjoy!

I am SO jealous! If I can't get the DVD region 1 with english subs, it is of no use to me. I thought America was supposed to be the land of dreams! Big stinky liars!! I only want Takeshi. [If not the actual Takeshi, then some awesome films, right?] But, NO! Not for YOU-Cinxxx!!!
