I met my ex waaaaaaay before I became a TK fan. When I checked out this other website containing lots of Takeshi-san's pics and saw the almost uncanny resemblence to the ex, couldn't breathe for a couple of seconds there! Was shocking.

oMG, thats cool that ur ex look lie Takeshi ehehhe. Im not lying, but my ex also "KINDA" slightly look liek takeshi. Hes cute in his own terms, but not as hot as takeshi. I would say takeshi is 100%, my ex only look like takeshi 20%. I think its the frame of his face that resembles takeshi. Hes not as tall as TK. BUT Kewpie, lucky u Ur ex look so much like TK hahaha. At least u had ur share. Its not the look that counts all the time. Its a combo of a whole PIE,right? I dont know why, it seems as though TAKESHI is an ideal bf/hubby. I love the fact tht he loves to cook, likes to stay home and relax. Not a party animal. His quietness, his gentleness, yet manly looking face. One more thing, is it me or not, but tk usually accept LOVE Movies?? Maybe he's a loving/romantic guy, thats why he accept alot of love movies. 1) Lavender 2) God, give me more time 3Turn left, turn right 4) House of flying daggers. etc etc.

As for either an ex or current , I do not have the priviledge to share notes 'cos I do not have any. I am a coward, a runner in this field. However, if " Forest Gump" could stop running, I believe so can I, one day. But until then..... I would like to say that I too notice that Takeshi-san likes to undertake love story projects. And he is good in all of them too. Example, recently, I watched Perhaps Love, mid-way thro, I gave up, could not continue watching. It was too sad and too dark for me to bear. I do not think I will go back to watching it again. Testimony to Takeshi-san's acting skill ? He made the story too real ?

Not only does he usually take romance movies for his roles... he mostly takes TRAGIC romance movies... its almost as if he's uneasy about the idea of love. perhaps he suffered from a broken heart in the past. especially for artistic people, they usually take that emotion at the time they're suffering and use it to express themselves with their work. with that said, frankly the only happy-ending movie that DID end on a high note was "Golden Bowl" and that wasn't even a movie lol oh and i completely feel for you there sukyin! perhaps love, as well as many of his other movies, are getting very hard to watch now because of that bittersweet emotion that tk conveys so well. lol maybe it's changed for me since i, myself, am close to overcoming a broken heart and well ... u can watch Golden Bowl only SO MANY TIMES ! lol anyways...for the record lets count the oh so many sad flicks that tk has done (spoiler?):
1. HOFD 2. Tempting Heart 3. Perhaps Love 4. Sleepless Town 5. Fallen Angels 6. God, Give Me More Time 7. The Odd One Dies 8. Love 2000 9. ANNA MAGDALENA (omg) 10. Chungking Express 11. Turn Left, Turn Right... now I know this ended somewhat happily, but pretty much the entire movie was depressing...
am i missing anymore you guys?

tle - you may be right abt Takeshi-san acting out his hurt. Apart from Perhaps Love, I have seen a few others, and also found them hard to watch except for Golden Bowl. Am I being sensitive or what, but somehowl I sense as if Takeshi-san is conciously torturing himself each time he acts out a painful scene. I feel so sorry for him then . Looking on the bright side however, well at least acting out his feelings is better than storing them inside. If this is good therapy for you Takeshi-san, please continue to do so. All your fans are with you.

No you're not being sensitive. My friend and I wondered about the same thing too. She said that it's either a form of therapy for him OR he could be one of those folks who likes to nurture their pain. She's a crisis counselor therapist so I told her whether or not someone nurtures or numbs their pain, so long as they acknowledge it exists is healthier (in my opinion) than denying it.

Thats a way to help him with his acting, its to reminisce the past, especially the emotional scenes. Everybody must have been through some kind of bad times in their lives, even our guy TK. I have noticed in his movies and dramas, they often write into the scripts of the real TK, little things he would do or had happened in life.

You know I was wondering about that so I'm glad you brought it up! Am curious to know how many other fans on this forum noticed it too?

It probably is something that the writers bring in terms of Takeshi's personality. Maybe that's why we sometimes fall for the characters Takeshi plays too.
