Who would Takeshi date and who should he date?

I replied to your other post. TK does like older women. Most of his ex-girlfriends were older than him even his first high school sweetheart was someone older.

I think he should date whomever he so desires. I am too new a fan of his to have an idea of who he would date, though that would be sketchy speculation, at best, for any of us-- unless you happen to actually know him.

I agree, it's pretty obvious that he's going to date whoever he wants to date, but I was wondering what that person would be like.

Webmaster has said he prefers older women - alright! One point for me!! I'm not gonna list how much older, not too much though.

Since I don't know too much about who he's dated in the past, I'm gonna speculate that he likes the mothering type ... he can seem like a little boy sometimes. And why do men who date older women like to date older women, maybe because they seem motherly or worldly or freer because they're less insecure than younger women? (I'm generalizing here, hope I don't offend anyone. )

Or, he could go the direct opposite, someone who's really young at heart, spunky & with a carefree spirit. He had really good chemistry with Ann Suzuki in the Returner, I think he bonds well with children & young people in general. (Just as long as they're over 18!! ) Not sure how old Ann Suzuki was in the Returner, but maybe when she grows up a little more they can make an adult romantic movie or something.

I also don't think he would select solely on looks alone. I'm sure the women he dates are attractive, but maybe not always beautiful in the traditional sense. I think he's the type who would concentrate more on personality. He might go for the book smart type seeing as how he didn't get too much of a education on his own. Some men do this, they compensate for their lack of "whatever" and choose a mate who has that "whatever."

Plus, I think TK would want a woman who's intelligent, someone who can engage and keep his interest mentally. I also don't see him that interested in athletic or outdoorsy women for some reason. I think he'd want someone who he could cuddle with, roast marshmellows with on a cold night and just be together in silence for a really long time. I see them cooking together too & then eating what they've made over a candlelit dinner.

And I'm sure he would be such a gentle lover - you can see it by the way he kisses on screen. He's really working hard to make the woman like it! So soft. I like, I like it!! Kiss me, Takeshi, kiss me! ;D

I like the fact that he dates older women, but I think if I was playing matchmaker for him, I wouldn't concentrate too much on age. I would not pick someone who's too deep & dark or mysterious ... those are Takeshi's traits, the same of each in both people would create inertia. Nothing would happen, they'd get weighed down in introspection.

I'd pair him with a friendly, bubbly (not airhead) and sociable personality. Someone who would draw him outside of himself & his introspection & bring him closer to the world in terms of social interaction. I get the feeling that he's searching for a home - a sense of belonging somewhere & with someone. So this person would have to represent home to him. This person would have to be warm, welcoming & gracious. And again, looks wouldn't matter too much, but maybe someone who has a fuller figure than one who's extremely thin (like Kelly Chan or Gigi Leung). And someone who's a good bit shorter than him, like Zhang Ziyi's height, so he can hold onto that person tightly - like a security blanket. (Alright, so I'm getting a little carried away with the mothering imagery!) SOMEONE LIKE ME!

As I've posted many times before, I liked him when he was paired with someone like Charlie Young, who's so lively & talkative. His new costar in his new movie (good heavens, I can't remember the name of it ) looks like a really good match for him too. She looks really cute & bubbly. He needs someone to make him smile! Such a beautiful smile should not go to waste.

On that topic: we're becoming bigger and bigger (female video game players). We're hard to spot and yes. There are some of us who are lonely and looking for a boyfriend/girlfriend. We have it rough, too.

Since he loves video games so much, he needs a mate who's accepting of his video game ways. He gets his heart broken because the love of his life can't accept his playing video games. If his love doesn't like video games, just accept it and love him for who he is.

Unrelated to video games but related somewhat: Metallica's drummer, Dane Lars Ulrich, married a beautiful American who's about three years older than him. He's a rich drummer; she knows nothing about Metallica. They have two adorable sons and are still happily married. See? It can happen.

I probably haven't looked at enough pics of him, or watched enough of his movies/tv work (hardly any, as I admitted on another thread), to see a frontal view of TK with his shirt off. I've been wondering if he's just very, very modest (which is his right to be, of course), and has chosen not to pose where his pecs and nipples (which I'm sure are deli-- ) are exposed. Anyone care to direct me to some photos of him that I just don't yet know about, which flatteringly reveal him from the waist on up?

Hello, Swellboy! Welcome to this extraordinary website! Regarding your wish to see TK with out his shirt on--theres' a couple of movies (albeit older ones) that show scenes with him nude from the waist up-- They're the following:
-Sleepless Town (i think 1998)--where he plays a small-time underworld character
-Forever Friends (I think 1994 or 1995)--a spoof on a recruit's life in the army
If all else fails--ask the almighty Webmaster. She has answers to everything about TK--(well, almost everything, I'm sure!)

Hello,again, Swellboy! In this movie--Forever Friends (at least, that's the English title)--he is shown bare chested with a dragon tattoo on I think his left shoulder. Really hot!

If I was more of a techie, I could post this picture that I think would leave you grasping for breath - he's got this come hither look on, all steamy & seductive, his hair is kinda long at shoulder length, wavy, he's wearing a tight sleeveless t-shirt & he's got a towel around his neck & he's wearing a necklace. Wow, those pictures from No, Sir were great! I confess that I fell asleep watching that movie & don't remember seeing him half naked like that! Darn. I would've like to have been the artist that drew the dragon on him. Uh, think I'm going to faint at the thought of that.

He also gets half naked in "The Odd One Dies." There's a scene where he comes out of the shower in a bathrobe & then drops the robe to get into bed. THen he makes out with Carmen Lee & we're privileged to see his naked torso, which I like a lot. He has a very nice torso. Wide shoulders & narrow waist. He's not muscular, but slim, nice muscle on the pecs too.

Around the time that HOFD was out, there was speculation that he would star with Nicole Kidman in Wong Kar Wai's "Lady From Shanghai." Then all of a sudden, he starts working on his new movie in China. Does anyone know what happened to the Lady From SHanghai plans? I read that he was suppose to play a villian in that movie - maybe a Japanese villian?

I wonder what kind of chemistry those two would've had, Nicole Kidman & Takeshi. She's a little tall for him ... in a way she reminds me of Kelly Chan, who he's acted with in 3 films. I didn't think the pair had great chemistry, Kelly Chan is very stiff. I find Nicole like that too, kinda stiff - hmm.

What does anyone think about Takeshi & Shu Qi? I think that might work, they're both from Taiwan, close in age, incredibly attractive. I think she's a talented actress. TK has usually been paired with lesser actress talent-wise, the only exception I can think of is Zhang Ziyi, but other than that none of his co-stars could match him. I think TK & Shu Qi might be a good teaming since they're very equal in many factors.
