Welcome Mshman! Enjoy yourself here! I too am still a "beginner" in regards to being a fan of TK's actual work, as I've only seen three of his movies. However, it's been great to watch many clips of his other movies and some commercials, all because of other members here providing links to them. Cheers, Swellboy

Name or nickname: Cat, Catzy, Cate, Cath, Cathy, Nussen Location: Norway How did you find out the site: I was searching for every Takeshi site out there that I could possibly get my hands on! What sort of TK fan would you call yourself: A fan that has gotten the Takeshi fever, and gotten it BAD! (And I don't seem to get over it, and I probably never will...) Favorite TK movie: Oh, it's nearly impossible to get any Takeshi films where I live! Only seen HoFD, but it was great! Trying to find more films though! But I'm already a fan, 'cause I've read about him and he seems like such a sweet person, he is a good actor, pluss he is GORGEOUS!! Favorite TK drama: Never seen one! ( One word to describe TK: Stunning! Interesting things about yourself: Well...I study art! And I'm mixed, like Takeshi! Half Norwegian, quarter Chinese and quarter Filipino! Born and raised in Norway, but I don't feel Norwegian. But on the other hand, I don't feel asian either...aw, guess it's just like with takeshi, I don't feel like I belong anywhere, hehe...

Yep, It was on Starz Action or something. That was back when I had the Starz package. It was playing on the Encore Action channel a few weeks ago.

Hi elfinaniki! I am so glad you formally introduced yourself. I, like you, love this section of the forum because it is amazing the variety of people that come here to share. I still am awed by the whole Internet thing and that all corners of the world are now so easily obtainable.... I so enjoy your postings- you are so descriptive with your thoughts- I love it !!! Illustrations?.. Like Jadedragon's illustrations- fascinating.. we are lucky to have two of you here. Wanderlust for travel? You've been to many places- how was north africa?...and where in central America are you headed?? (I done some diving and traveling in Belize and Costa Rica.. oh , and Cozumel and Cancun...) I love to travel too and am fascinated by other peoples travel adventures. Looking forward to many more postings from you- glad you are a part of this forum! A big formal welcome EA!! I've always wondered about your name and now have some insight into it... hi tatiana! I meant to reply to your post a while ago but didn't get around to it doh! When i get abit more nerve up i'll post some of my artwork in the 'Fan Art' section, so you can see them.. but i'm still a little shy! Yeh, i'm abit of a travel-freak! I just love seeking out adventures and throwing myself into new and exiting cultures - i find it really fascinating. There are just so many places to go! I'm heading off to Central America in the winter but only for a short while. I plan on journeying through Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Should be good! How did you find it? I went to North Africa and the Middle East a long time ago, so i don't remember it as much as other places. I loved it though.. it was my first foray out of Europe and into a totally different landscape and way of life. I still remember standing on the edge of the Sahara and being totally awe-struck by it's magnitude and strange beauty. I remember the region predominately as hot, dusty, ancient and with a mystical feeling pervading much of it .And i got to ride a camel or two! I went to Jordan very briefly a couple of years ago too. I think it's a really interesting part of the world. I will go back one day, but i'd like to go to sub-Saharan Africa before that. Looking forward to hearing some of your own travel adventures! Thank you for the formal welcome EA x

Hi elfinaniki. I really think you should be a writer- you're so eloquent with your words-I feel immediately transported with your words... I believe you'll enjoy Central America. The people are very nice and there's much to experience. ..warm people, lush landscape and interesting ruins and lost civilizations. Please let us know how your travels are! I really enjoyed Belize, especially the cays- loved Ambergris Cay. Belize's shore are privy to the second largest barrier reef in the world, thus it's waters teem with amazing fish and wildlife. Costa Rica too is pretty amazing. I stayed at "Poor Man's Paradise" in the south which had bungalows up in the trees with all the scarlet macaws. This place was right on the beach and had amazing sunsets. I did a hiking tour with one of the local medicine men and he knew many medicinal remedies that could be harvested right there from the rain forest.( We were jaguar-hunting ,but never came across any- just paw prints... ) We stayed in the north of Costa Rica also and toured old observation platforms that were used for howler monkey work. It was fun because we had to slide from platform to platform via cables by cinching in with harnesses and literally sliding to the next plat form. There were tons of howlers up there too. Anyway, keep us posted on your travels!

When i get abit more nerve up i'll post some of my artwork in the 'Fan Art' section, so you can see them.. but i'm still a little shy! Why are you shy?! You should show off your talents! That's why I made the "fan art" section... it's for people like you! I'll renovate the website later when I get home. I have new, exciting ideas! "Fan art" will get a new look too. I hope to see your work soon

After your description of your travels and experiences, i feel so inspired and very excited about my own! You sound like you've done some amazing things - i'm especially impressed by the sorts of things you mention that so many tourists miss out on, like the hiking tour with the local medicine man. I find that it's those sorts of interactions with the locals, and trips off of the 'beaten track' which often make a trip special Sorry you didn't find any jaguars, but the howler monkeys sound wicked! I'll keep you posted on my travels! EA

Hello, Elfinaniki. Yes, you should post your artwork in this forum. I'm also an artist and have 'shamelessly' submitted my artwork for the Webmaster to post. I'm very sure your work is exceptional--so, I hope you'll share it with us!! The wonderful avatar you have--is that one of your artwork? Do you have a website?

Hey Jadedragon!
Yes, i love your work! I'm so glad that you decided to post it, I've really loved being able to see it. Aw, everybody here is so lovely and encouraging, i think i've been convinced! I'll make a TK related piece ('cos our man is so very inspiring!), take a deep breath and post it! Actually the avatar isn't one of mine, but my stuff is usually of a very similar style. I actually don't have a website yet - i'm sooo bad with computers and technical things! - but i would kinda like one. Can anyone give me any tips on setting one up?
Looking forward to seeing your next art piece jadedragon!
