now, i don't know a WHOLE bunch about asian culture, so was there a reason why she couldn't touch his face but she could feel up his thighs and whatnot? i forgot to ask my chinese friend about that. Actually, she could, and DID touch his face ...the thing is that she considered it to be "impolite" for a blind person to first start off by touching another's face before touching their physique (body). Starting from "the bottom" reveals to her the physical makeup of his body and how skilled he is with the martial arts (notice how she stated what all of his strengths were) whereas starting from the top would only reveal his features. Examining his physique before anything else proves that she cares more about his characteristics and abilities rather than just merely how handsome he was, which of course would be the more polite thing to care about. Make sense?  I hope I didn't confuse anyone. |

Exactly!!  I loved the look on his face. It's like, "well, if you insist!!"  He didn't complain and I know of plenty of guys who wouldn't complain, either. I wouldn't have mind being in Zhang's place!!  |

Hehe, yeah...that part where he gave that sly smile of his and said "You prefer to start at the bottom... *killer smile*...that's fine with me!", I couldn't help but to smile along with him. Lol, I totally agree with you...I most certainly wouldn't have minded being in ZZY's place either!! In fact, if I could choose, I would trade in everything to be Zhang Ziyi just for those few moments with Takeshi  |

The movie was really good, I mean I loooooooved it!! That was actually the first movie with Takeshi that I saw, since my parents moved to Tokyo I became a lil' japan crazy (i go through country craziness every year). A friend of mine spoke about him cause she thought he looked like Orlando Bloom and I was like whaaaaaaat  ??? But yeah House of flying daggers was really good, good scenary, good picture (so colourful!!), good plot and of course Takeshi is hoooooooooot   |

TK looks like Orlando Bloom? ! ? That is one of the strangest comments about TK that I've read ;D TK actually resembles Keanu Reeves a bit... the way he looks and being a bit off-beat per se... |

ORLANDO BLOOM?!?! Icky!! I can see why you'd say Keanu. His Father's a Chinese American. I think Keanu's rather handsome. Even though he wasn't born here (in Canada), I consider him one since he grew up here. |

TK will definately have to make a film with Canadian film maker Atom Egoyan who would know how to use his angst and "L'etranger" persona to full effect!
