Yes, I have to both. Been to mostly private premiers (invitation only events) but I've also been to film festivals too. Each one has its own unique "flavor" and have enjoyed each and every one immensely. Besides, I look at it this way: once I'm old and gray rocking in my rocker at an old folks home and gumming my food (LOL) I'll have a lot of interesting stories to tell and can hopefully say "I lived my life to its fullest dag-nabbit and had a blast!"   Life is too short my friends so have some fun and enjoy while you can!  |

Hi kewpie-chan. . .i tried to purchase tix through the website and they only give the option for $60 (members) or $75 (non members), but none for just the movie showing, so I dont think I'll be able to make it =( I'm so disappointed It would be hard to attend the opening party b/c I have work the next day and need to put my little one to bed not too late. oh well!

yeah the SFIFF's website sucks rocks! I got my tix by calling the number. I asked the lady on the phone if it's possible to just get movie tix and she said yes! So, halohalo...get your butt over to either the Virgin Megastore OR to the Kabuki 8 theater to buy tix. You can buy at Virgin store in afternoon and at the Kabuki 8 beginning at 5pm. Really? My address is hidden?  |

Hey it is hidden that's odd since I chose it not to be hidden  Oh well, I sent a message to the wm asking her what could the problem be. I noticed that I can't change my avatar pic either. what gives? LOL.... Halohalo, I sent you a message with details on how to get individual tix to just the film. You're in SF so you should be able to go to one of the 2 locations. If you can't then they will have tix sold at the theater on the day of showing. AND they start selling it 30 min. before show starts so it's first come first serve so make sure you're in line early! Hope you get one and see ya there! My friend and I got our film & party tix package ;D |

This is how it'll go: checks mail, find envelope with tixs, opens envelope in record breaking time to find tixs. Stands there staring at it with a "pinch-me-I'm-dreaming" look on face (kinda like Charlie in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory") for few seconds then let's out a high pitched teeny-bopper scream as she does her "happy dance" LOLOL.... Good thing my neighbors are far away else I'm sure they'd call the nut farm on me after observing this behavior from a grown woman ;D |
