Takeshi if you want I can teach you how to speak spanish. Solo tienes que pedirmelo! japanese is a language I love, i wish i could speak it. I saw HOFD in its original version but i prefer Takeshi when he speaks japanese, Returner. But Unfortunately I only speak english (and spanish por supuesto) so for very pretty that sounds I wouldn`t understand anything if he speaks japanese to me. . On the other hand, no matter what language he speaks as long as he speaks to me. Adios.

Despite being an english speaker, I'd have to say that his Japanese voice really suits him well. In the movie Returner, he sounds even more powerful when he's angry. Very convincing. (that is opposed to HOFD... not that he did a bad job there).
lol just like a couple of you, i was very disappointed that the dubbed english version for HOFD wasn't his own voice. it bothered me, having to watch subtitles along wtih the movie. u really miss out on a lot but i got used to it hehe.
however, i can tell that if he were to master english pronounciation, that would no doubt add to his sex appeal!

Konnichiwa, Japanese, but any language will do. Aniki has a beautiful voice no matter what language he's speaking. I get pissed at some of the movies I've bought and it's not his voice. I'm quite surprised that it wasn't his voice in HOFD. I saw the "making of" and Takeshi said that he'd worked real hard to get the language (old style Chinese dialect, I think?) down. Ja mata, sounds like Takeshi to me, especially when he was singing. kiwotsukete, [glow=red,2,300]M[/glow] _________________________________________________ because he dreams in Japanese.......

Eeh? That wasn't Takeshi-san's voice in HOFD when he was speaking in Chinese??? Uso! I think in "Hero" it's not Takeshi-san's voice either

but if you compare the voice he has in interviews and the voice that speaks during HOFD is pretty close to a 100 % match, I would think its his...I mean he is speaking Mandarin and Kantonese - It shouldn't be a problem to learn an old dialekt for him, and I don't think Zhang Yimou would approve of such things because he is a perfectionist and when dubb someone, everything from the performance would get lost...so whats the point

Konnichiwa, According to our webmaster, it's not Takeshi. Though it sounds like him to me. Well.... [glow=red,2,300]M[/glow] ______________________________________ because he dreams in Japanese....

Uso!!! Honto? Well if it is dubbed, like Iodred said, it's pretty darn close to Takeshi-san. Hmm, I'll have to really watch HOFD carefully when Takeshi-san says his lines for if it is dubbed, one can tell sometimes in a "time lag" between the dialogue and mouth movement.

TK sounds best in Mandarin - smooth and deep. His Japanese is strong also. He struggles a bit with English; it doesn't flow too smoothly. His Cantonese is heavily accented (you know he's not local). I never heard him speak Taiwanese, so no comment on that.

Even though I don't understand Japanese, it's nice hearing him speak this.
