Re Malena's query as to "what statements," all I meant to convey was that, from his history of having dated women and also expressing a desire to be married and having children, if you were to give credence to any rumors of gay liaisons and previous girlfriends, that at the most he'd be deemed bisexual, not totally gay.

As to MrsTAkeshi, I too have been victim to urban-legend kind of stories re celebrities (some too good or incredible to be true, which later I found to be false), so I know how you feel. Moral of the story: If it's too incredible or blatent to be true, take it with a grain of salt, and if you were to pass on any story like that, always do so with the caveat that it may or may not be true, so that way you're somewhat covered when the story you related turns out to be false.

As to Dilbar's attitude towards your posts, I too sense a blatant agressiveness towards you, like she's really aggravated by you. All I can say is, I've enjoyed reading your posts and share to some degree in your enthusiasm for this talented, incredibly handsome man. I too fell under his charms after watching him in HOFD. Loved the role he played. So please keep up with your posts and don't let some negative responses hinder you from expressing your heartfelt opinions.

by the way, ill share to you my funny experience to ward off any tension in the board. hehehe.
i found a copy of the returner last night and i was
laughing at some scenes.

the movie IMO was not for the faint-hearted. well i cud also account it for the chinese (and i mean i dont
understand chinese LOL), with NO english subtitles. dang! i didnt get to hear takeshis real voice.

for sure, it was made to be a test for takeshi kaneshiro lovers.


1. the alien looked like E.T.

2. the spaceship was a knock-off of the one in independence day.

3. dodging bullets like in the matrix (kind of a spin-off).

4. a plot like the terminator movie.

5. encounters of the 3rd kind for sure..


i cud go on and on...



BUT THEN there it was almost worth it. takeshi once again, saved the day.
IMO if it were not for him the movie wud go to trash. it was laughable.
there were cute scenes like...

1. takeshi brought milly to a salon where he had this black and white (and i bet it was
prada) suit on. oh well, TK looked so hot in it... as they enter the salon and
he flipped his jacket... gosh! even if i didnt know him id certainly conclude that hes a model
in real life (or in his past life)

2. when they were in the salon, milly wud blabber about things. this made miyamoto so embarassed
especially wen he saw the clerk look at them both. his reactions are quite lovable here...
i love it everything he winces coz of millys blabbering and makes her shut up... so cute..

3.ok every scene with him in the "matrix" like look. cute really... but the "prada look"
is still a winner for me.

4. every time he puts on the shades. quite funny and IRONIC but the people with the
loveliest pair of eyes are also the ones who wud look best with shades on... IMO
what is it about it?

5. i wasnt comfy with his facial hair.. i guess it made him look
more manly and you know... sexier. but honestly, i liked him better without it.

one more thing, i like takeshi better with his spiked hair, like the one in cannes.
i think that kind of hairstyle flaunts his face more. the one in the returner tends to cover his
face. but then again, u cannot put a naturally good-looking man down.

6. did he smile on this film? yes he did! cute smile as always.

7. the relationship between milly and miyamoto are not of the romantic type.
good for them, coz u actually get to see takeshi as a brother and a protector.
i wud want him as a brother but... hell no! LOL

8. he handles the gun fairly well... and that matriz spin-off i was talking about?
quite better than in the original movie coz takeshi had dance-like movements in it. LOL.

9. the motorcycle thingy is quite a handful. sexy!

10. lastly, we got to see him cook... so we have a hint about how he wud look like
to be a father, cooking dinner for his kids and his wife. LOL.


EITHER WAY, I WAS ENTERTAINED. I LAUGHED REMEMBER.

now i say to you, i am a certified takeshi fan.

first let me say that i'm also in a TK fever, after seeing HOFD, well, i just fell in love with the guy! in the meantime I've seen the film twice, iI bought the Returner DVD wich i've seen about 5 times now, and i've also seen one of his old films "The odd one dies".
My first reaction to the Gay rumors was: OMG please let it not be true!!!!, It would be a major loss for heterosexual women. I mean I'm heterosexual and i feel so attracted to this man that I really wish that he's not.
My second reaction after thinking about it is: Well, I'll never meet him or have anything with him, so I can only hope that he's happy, he keep making movies that we can enjoy and finally he can make with his life whatever he wants...... But in my fantasy, he will do with me, whatever I WANT.....

I don't think he's gay but sometimes I think it would be best if he were. Because there is no way he could open date women because his fans would be crushed.
Especially if the girl was a jerk.

For instance, I would like to think that Takeshi is a fairly deep person so I would be dissapointed to see him dating some young superficial bimbo. Then if he's dating an ugly woman, people would be picking on his girlfriend all over the internet. (Didn't Jennifer Aniston look bad in comparision to Brad Pitt?). All of this could kill his career and a lot of fans would feel betrayed. Especially those who have all his interviews memorized.

Think Enrique Iglesias, his career was skyrocking before it came out he was dating Anna Kournicova. And now his career has gone flat, a lot of his fans jumped ship because they can't stand that he's dating a girl whose all looks and no substance. They thought because of his interviews that he was better than that. Honestly, I can't even look at Enrique any more without thinking that.

But if Takeshi were gay, he would never have to settle down, gay men would overwhelmingly support him, and girl fans would swear they could scare him straight.


By and By, I know Takeshi dates. It's only human nature after all but I think he dates secretly. But when he fall for someone he truly loves I don't think he'll be afraid to gush over how much he loves them.

How do you know he dates? Can you refer to something you read or heard that confirms this? I assume you mean women. How can he date "secretly" when press seems to be all over him?

I remember watching Keanu Reeve's E! True Hollywood story in 2000 and they said that: He had a four year serious relationship with a non famous girl that nobody in the press knew of. Until she died in a car crash when she was pregnant, and he was at her funeral crying his eyes out. Later he told a magazine all about their relationship and how he was almost going to marry her. This happened during the peak of Keanu Reeves career, when he had the press following left and right. Keanu made sure they they were never seen in public together. They mostly stayed at his or her house. And if she probably didn't die none of us would ever know.

So if Keanu, who is hounded by the untiring American and British Press can hide a girlfriend I'm sure that Takeshi Kaneshiro can.

I've haven't hear anything on forums or read articles about Takeshi dating. But I'm sure that at least one point in his famous life, he had a relationship with someone, it's just plain human nature. And he's said he wanted to be married and have kids. How could he wish for marriage and kids if he's never dated? But he could be availible now? All I'm saying is that I believe he probably has dated in the past and that they were probably secret so it wouldn't hurt his fans. I mean I thought Keanu Reeves never dated and then later it was found out that he had a girlfriend.

That's for the tidbit about Keanu Reeve, especially in the heels of rumors and false stories [i.e. the one with Alan Cumming] floating about him being gay. As you pointed it out, it's very possible that TK could have a girlfriend and nobody knows about it. I know previously there were stories of him seeing a girl and it being all very hushy-hushy.

It just kind of makes me mad that some people (both here and other forums) have already concluded that he's gay and that his hairstylist friend (who might possibly be married, as he has a wedding on his finger) are lovers and that TK goes for older, married man type.

Personally, I'd love to see a day when, out of the blue, we hear the TK has gotten married, or is about to be married, and nobody had a clue.

I TOTALLY TOTALLY agree with you!!!!

I will always go with the caveat that I don't know the full story and you and I who think TK as not being gay could be wrong, but it's just as wrong for those people who make claims that he's gay and that he's into this and that kind of man just because he spent a night of drinking and smoking with a close male friend.

Personally, I think that shows that he's comfortable with who he really is to be able to share a room with a close friend and not worry about how it would look. For heaven's sake, I've shared a room with a close female at a motel (and I didn't ask for another extra cot to be brought in), and no even gave a thought to how it might look. But for TK to do the same thing, of course that only inflames the rumor mill about his sexuality. As you said, if TK wanted to hide homosexualty, he'd make sure he's constantly surrounded by girls, as examplified by your George Michaels story.

Again, personally, I really think TK is the type that's waiting for the right girl to come along, and is content to be alone in the meantime, and he's not going to be swayed into doing this or that just because of rumors and innuendoes circulated by gossip magazines.

This is exactly why I like Takeshi. He seems to be a very thoughtful person without that "I'm a star" attitude. Seeing as I don't really like any of his movies or dramas. (He's a good actor. I just can't stand Romantic movies, sad movies, and the Returner was just horrible). Reading his interviews and diary made me love this guy. Him being handsome is just a very nice bonus.
