For instance, I would like to think that Takeshi is a fairly deep person so I would be dissapointed to see him dating some young superficial bimbo. Think Enrique Iglesias, his career was skyrocking before it came out he was dating Anna Kournicova. And now his career has gone flat, a lot of his fans jumped ship because they can't stand that he's dating a girl whose all looks and no substance. They thought because of his interviews that he was better than that. Honestly, I can't even look at Enrique any more without thinking that.

But if Takeshi were gay, he would never have to settle down, gay men would overwhelmingly support him, and girl fans would swear they could scare him straight.


By and By, I know Takeshi dates. It's only human nature after all but I think he dates secretly. But when he fall for someone he truly loves I don't think he'll be afraid to gush over how much he loves them.

I was reluctant to post this message as I cannot specifically refer to where I read this, but I did. Takeshi said would'nt it be strange if he didn't date. He has a friend that he has dinner with and watches movies. That's all he said about the dating part. In another interview just the end of 2004, he did say that he was in his first serious relationship a while back and nothing since. He has not yet found the girl that he would be willing to give eveything up for. I have been trying to find the exact interviews, but I have a pile of Takeshi stuff and can't locate it.

I also think that when Takeshi falls in love (no matter who it is), it will be deeply and truly. He just seems like that kind of man to me. I think it will be wonderful!

Murasakibara, I read the same articles you are talking about and just like you I was reluctant to post that because I couldn't give any direct proof. All the information, I ever got on Takeshi was from takeshionline.com/.net but it's been having some problems getting the website back fully on-line.

Basically the article said that he and his good friend/hairstylist shared one hotel room during his stay in Canne (the showing of HOFD in the festival) There was only one big bed in the room and it seemed like they shared it too (?) It said that it would only cost 60 euro to add a bed and TK wouldn't have to pay for it himself anyway...

I thought it was strange when I first read about your comment - TK being a big flirt, talked about womens breasts and all. TK seems and appeals to be a gentleman. I don't think he'd be so up front and talk about subjects like that in a sleazy way. Every time he's finished doing a love or kiss scene with a female opposite he'd say "sorry" to her. i know, this is an old thread and has been dormant for some weeks but i am actually playing catch-up on some threads that i had wanted to comment in and either was too busy at the time or too...lazy! anyway, i wanted to add that after i originally read the diary a couple times i finally realized what he was trying to say-- i think the translation is just a little confusing to people. it would have made more sense to have written the translation as, "hello, capcom--my friends mistakenly thought it was my idea to give kaede the large breasts...". cutie pie is quite hilarious! in the diary he makes some comments that are meant to be facetious but this can go over the reader's head. for example, when he says "i'm a playboy, too" or something like that, he is taking a swipe at the gossips that say he's a playboy. it's a sarcasm. i think a lot of fans thought "oh, takeshi is admitting to being a skirt-chaser!" i hardly think so. i totally agree with webmaster, takeshi seems like a gentleman, and a shy one at that. i don't think it's his style to be overt. [maybe like many men, when he's hangin' with just the guys it might be a different story! ]

again, i'm playing catch-up: i just wanted to say, I TOTALLY AGREE. i think it's easy to get used to "sterotypes" of men (especially if it's american men!) and think they are all skirt-chasers, they are not serious about committing and monogamy, etc. i don't know takeshi, but i know a lot of men that takeshi reminds me of by his words and behavior in public and these men that i know are definitely interested in finding "the one", not just "the one for now". even if it means being really lonely for a long time until that happens. there are a lot of women that way, too. like me!
