Windysgirl and Samanosuke- You two are so funny with your competition! I sadly only have 10 TK movies ( I just went downstairs to count them ), but I did just order Space Travelers so that takes me up to 11!!

WG and SMS - now you've got me thinking.... what TK movies do you have that I am lacking? Can you list them so I can compare notes? Here's what I have:HOFD,TLTR,Lavender, Tempting Heart,Anna Magdalena, Too Tired to Die, First Love the litter on the breeze,Lost and Found, Fallen Angels, and CE. ( I've seen but don't own Returner,The Odd One Dies, Downtown Torpedoes, Dr. Wai and the Scripture Without Words, China Dragon. I 've ordered Space Travelers... I do not own any TK dramas yet- I'm patiently waiting for the Webmaster to get home!) Thanks you two!!

Good morning fellow TK movie collectors, Looks like you and I are tied Tatiana. These are the titles I have: HOFD, Sleepless Town, Turn Left Turn Right, Returner, Tempting Heart, Lavender, The Odd One Dies, Anna Magdalena, Hero, Lost and Found, and Space Travelers. Which titles do you have Samanosuke?

Samanosuke - I have a couple of questions for you if you don't mind. You say you have 2 versions of HOFD - does one version have more scenes/special features than the US release? I've seen the different Asian release versions on the websites that sell videos, but they will not ship to US addresses due to Sony having the US distribution rights. And I was curious about what collector films have you been purchasing? Other than my TK films I bought a 4 disc box set of Infernal Affairs which I really like. The only drawback is the special feature disc which doesn't have any subtitles. Anyway, thanks for indulging me - I'm always curious. WG

Hi Guys! Samanosuke- you truly make me chuckle with this competition thing! It's all about us TK fans enjoying and sharing TK adventures- it's not about the numbers...
Windysgirl- you're as gracious as ever...I hope to purchase Sleepless Town when it comes out at Good Buys and I have Hero in my line up at Blockbusters (to rent). I think we're doing pretty well with the TK scavenger hunt! Don't you??!!

I'm going to be like MissCarlos and include my 2 Onimusha games. So that brings me up to 12 Takeshi titles. It would be 13 but I'm not going to count duplicates. Titles I have are: Turn Left Turn Right Hero House Of Flying Daggers(Chinese Zoke version) House Of Flying Daggers(American Sony version) Anna Magdalena Downtown Torpedoes Returner Lavender Space Travelers Fallen Angels Temting Heart Onimusha: Warlords Onimusha 3: Demon Siege Windysgirl - To answer your question, I got my chinese version of HOFD for free from a friend. You wouldn't want it anyway because it has little to no extras in my knowledge. The subtitles are burn in and not removable. I think this was the first official version of the movie to come out. I am looking online for the collector's edition of HOFD. It comes in a big box. I saw it once in Houston and should have bought it when I had the chance. The American version is cut whereas the Asian version is uncut. Here is what they cut out of the American release. 1) Jin slitting the throat of a fellow officer. 2) Jin cradling Mei before his fight with Leo. 3) The removal of blood from Mei's wound (digital removal of blood). Go to this website if you ever want to compare different versions of films. It's very helpful for me because I always want to buy the best uncut editions. www.dvdcompare.netTo stay on topic - Returner is cool

Oh Windysgirl I forgot to answer your other question.
I just ordered a special edition boxset of a Korean movie called Taegukgi (You gotta watch this, one of my favorites). I already have that movie but I wanted the special boxset. You can read about it on IMDB.com and see just how many people love this movie. This movie made lots of people cry (including me) .
I also got a special edition boxset of a Japanese movie called Warm Water Under A Red Bridge.
Right now I am trying to get this very expensive boxset of a Korean movie called Oldboy. it's more than $200. Isn't that crazy? I also already have a copy of this movie but the boxset is so appealing to me since this movie is now my absolute favorite one.
Back to the topic - Yeah..... Returner is a cool movie!

Samanosuke- I love that you are so in tune with your emotions.. you're a romantic and you cry at movies..I hope your girlfriend appreciates you!! I am fascinated at your love for special edition sets. Your list of TK movies is impressive- I think we are all doing well!! I love that you shared with us what got cut on HOFD..(still trying to figure out why they were extracting blood from Mei's wound..?? Jin cradling Mei..I would like to see that!!) Chat with you soon SMS! I love IMDB.com- my sister works for the movie industry and introduced me to IMDB. Today I'm going to try and buy Returner at Hollywood Videos!!( Just trying to stay on the topic!)

www.pokerindustries.com/poker.store?page=item&sku=TURNLEFT-DVDMissCarlos - that's the closest I can find to Canadian dollars. It's not exactly in Canadian dollars but it costs $4 to ship to Canada. Hehehe! I wasn't much help was I? As far as I know the only legitimate versions of this movie is the Hong Kong region 3 dvd and the Japanese region 2 version. I have the region 3 version and it comes with a little postcard thingy with a picture of Takeshi riding a bicycle. It's like a collector's item. =)
